This manga is just pure battle fun. Zero need to take itself too seriously, and thus really easy to follow and just go with the flow. It's grown on me a lot

Yeah, I've been following it and I love it so far.

Is this the first time the aliens have been implied to use remote bodies? Unless I misunderstood that line, it could be a case of their real bodies being weak or them being actually nerfed by the remote body like the bad guys from early Toriko.

Imo he's just talking about their first forms - those cute bodies they have. Their real combat bodies are the ones we saw in this chapter, less compact too.
