I've been reading / watching One Piece for about 25 years and recently the nonsense in the chapters went too far even for me. Oda pushes his fans away. Just wanted to point out the other side of the issue.

so a creator creating what he wants too and has explicitly stated he's going to create the work he enjoys and finds fun himself sounds liberating to me,

he's not going to go out of his way to give every single fan what exactly they want either just give it up so you aren't "disappointed" for your own expectations or just stfu and stop complaing whe you read on a weekly basis and you might just enjoy it afterall...

He just sent his letter of resignation so if something does happen, the Marine can still say that he wasn't one of them.

Once you send your resignation letter you are basically done. You don’t get promoted anymore even if you are still working there and doing a great job. If Koby wanted to be a marine and promote he shouldn’t have resigned.

He should have been an admiral from the start of post-ts, we don’t need a Fujitora. Smoker could have filled in everything that Fujitora was doing and it would have been better. They basically have the same roles anyways, Fujitora could have been a revo or the real leader of sword instead.
