That’s kinda the point. Mihawks hype is entirely dependent on being stronger than Shanks, and I agree he should be. But at the same time, betting against shanks is dangerous cause Oda worships him

The VCs are a canon as any databook.

Yeah that’s where the conversation started was that Mihawk fandom needs to hype up black blade as a feat otherwise they’re fully reliant on shanks hype

It actually depends on the leaker. Compared to the previous set, the latest Vivre Card characters are highly anticipated. That's why the leakers plan to release them early this time. However, if they don't find any relevant or new information after receiving it today, they might delay the release until tomorrow or the official release date.

He definitely didn't create a black blade but isn't the fact that he's based on a character who "is exceptionally skilled but has never been witnessed using it" an obvious guarantee he's a strong swordsman? At least to some degree? He probably has some some backstory where he decided to stop using his sword.

I'd be a bit more worried but Oda does this all the time depending on a character's personality. Teach does it all the time, even got Imu twerking recently. As long as they deliver featwise and don't end up like BM, it's all good. I'd say chances of Greenbull looking like the weakest top tier are pretty low considering how he got off to such a monster start featwise, he's already clear of BM atleast. He turned multiple scabbards who have ACoA and are in the commander ballpark into weed wackers, took Yamato's adCoC attack like it was a mosquito bite, turned Queen and King into fertilizers, put Fujitora in bandaids, packed up Weevil who had the most hype outside of Mihawk for the Warlords. The names and run he has been on has been crazy, despite getting clowned against Shanks.

Most of the names on the list are Commanders or weaker trash that an Admiral is expected to clear. That's not what I'm talking about though - the problem is him getting sonned by Shanks.
That interaction alone shows he's a run of the mill Top Tier, while Shanks is "special" amongst Top Tiers too.

And putting Fujitora in bandages? Lol, why are y'all pretending as if that means anything when you folks were calling the same argument as stupid when used as slander against Fujitora?

We shouldn't expect him to beat Shanks, but given his eccentric personality him twerking isn't the end all be all in this verse.

It definitely isn't end all be all, it proves that he's your run of the mill Top Tier which is very relevant when it comes to ranking Top Tiers.

Aramaki might have a black blade but he's clearly portrayed differently personality wise from the characters who have canonically created/will create one in the future.
