So you completely ignored my point that Shanks asked Mihawk if he came here to settle things with him.. When you're the clear winner you don't have things to settle with nobody.. You're also assuming Mihawk got his WSS title from duels with Shanks, when that's not the case..
Settle things with him in that context means to kill him because he let Shanks live after their duel for whatever reason. And Mihawks response was very clear that he doesn't fight has beens. I never said he won the title against Shanks. The Manga is saying he is the title holder and he fought Shanks. Would he have lost to Shanks he would not have that title, but Shanks would. If he had lost ever against anyone after receiving the title, he would not be the title holder.
But he is and that is the only thing that matters
That's dumb.
Except for luffy none showed CoC in marineford.
Not doflamingo , not Boa , not Sengoku , nor Garp , not even Shanks.
That's straight up dumbest things you have cooked.
Also there was no hyped up CoA or even Black Blade moment in Marineford.
I'm not singling out Marineford, it's about Mihawk in the entire series so far.. And i'm saying he's been hyped in Marineford for his Black Blade.. He cut the iceberg with no Air Slash, how do you explain that..

You went full fan fiction with the '' Settle things ''.. They are past rivals, but they are friends.. Mihawk came to show Luffy's wanted poster to Shanks and Shanks proposed him booze to party with them.. Again, you don't ask another person if they came to settle thing is they're the clear winner, simple as that.. Mihawk is not the goat, sorry to break it to you..

Yes youre right bro. Sorry for my headcannon bro, never would Shanks or his crew do something like that, they are the most honourable people in the world and no pirates at all
Just imagine the honourable RHP tricking some rookies and then shoot them from a distance when they turn their back on the RHP possibly killing the DF users and others. Unimaginable Shanks and his mates would do something as dirty as that
Just imagine someone would attack Shanks and instead of Shanks dealing with it himself his crewmates would just shoot them in the back of the head. Just like some dirty pirates that don't care about honourable fights or any sort of code. Never could such a thing happen
The mighty RHP would never use such dirty tactics ever. They are always fighting upfront each for their own and never act like pirates do. And espacialy someone else killing Shanks enemies for him is something that never happened between the chapters 1 and 1126. So basicaly Shanks has 1125 chapters of pure honour. He is the best
Oda blatantly explained Mihawk’s title. The strongest swordsman is the one with the best sword skill.
He is purely the strongest in terms of swordsmanship.
But just like the strongest boxer can still be shot to death if his opponent has a gun, being the strongest swordsman doesn’t inherently mean Mihawk can defeat characters who have significant skills beyond swordsmanship.
Sword skill is the ability to cut what you want and not cut what you don’t want.
Swordsmen who don’t use their swords to actually cut are still swordsmen, but they are less skilled than someone like Mihawk.
If Kaido replaced his club with a sword, he wouldn’t immediately become WSSM. To act like that’s all that matters literally devalues the art Mihawk and Zoro dedicate themselves to.

He doesn’t fight Shanks because Shanks doesn’t actually care about swordsmanship.
He is a swordsman, but he uses his sword for haki beams and shockwaves.
It has nothing to do with Shanks’s strength. Mihawk literally faced Vista.

The fact that Shanks has a higher bounty than Mihawk and is a yonko should give Mihawk ample incentive to take down Shanks, if they were truly rivals.
But they aren’t rivals. Shanks doesn’t care about swordsmanship. Mihawk dedicated his life to gaining the ability to cut anything. It’s what Zoro wants to be able to do.
Shanks literally doesn’t care about that and fights completely differently.
This cope is ridiculous lol oda has already explained in his own manga that there are people in his manga that can not cut (shanks/mihawk) They are still swordsmen lol
- Take away Shanks and Yonkos and Mihawk has his WSS title that makes him stronger than every swordsman and one of the strongest characters in the manga.
- Take away his WSS title and Mihawk's strength was hyped up to be beyond the combined powers of 3 admirals. Luffy called Mihawk too strong to fight but had no problem fighting 3 admirals at the same time.
- Take away his beyond 3 admirals combined strength and he had his reputation as a renowned swordsman back when Rogers was alive, before the great pirate age, and before he became the WSS.
- Take away his renowned swordsman reputation and he as the Marine Hunter title. Yes, Mihawk did what people claimed and wished the Yonkos did for years, go after and fight the marines. He did that alone.
- Take away his marine hunter title and he possess so much power he can produce a nameless hakiless attack that requires a diamond defense to stop/block. We have never seen somebody produce an attack so strong using so little the power.
- Take away that power and we have the only character in the entire manga strong enough to fight a YC level character at a low level without even focusing on them and still not take a single hit.
People can cope all they want, Mihawk has never needed Shanks or the Yonkos for reads to know he's strong.

Don't try to move the goal post now. You claimed he never clashed against a top tier so back up your claim with facts.
We didn't see Kaido clash against a top tier on panel until Wano. We have only seen BM clash against 1 top tier the entire manga. Seeing top tier clash is a rare scene in the manga.
Where does the manga said Mihawk never fought Yonko Shanks? Why did WB considered a fight legendary if they weren't top tier? Where does the market say Mihawk never fought anybody else?

You say to not move the goal post, and you ask so many questions going on so many different tangents..
Mihawk has never clashed on panel with a top tier.. Shanks and Mihawk dueled 14 years ago when Shanks bounty was what 1 Billion?.. Then he lost his arm shortly after..
Kaido has clashed with Shanks, so he couldn't get to Marineford.. And he wasn't introduced around chapter 50 either.. Before Kaido was properly introduced, he clashed against a top tier so..

You claimed Mihawk never clashed against a top tier. After I called you out on your headcannon you switched it to never clashing on panel with a top tier. Now you fine with Shanks and Kaido fighting off panel. Good to know you have different standards for Mihawk.
Where does the manga say he never fought Yonko Shanks? That's more of your headcannon.
I' brought up WB because he talked about their battle and called it legendary. Why would he be talking about none top tier clashing? Why would he considered their battles legendary? Has anybody ever called YC battles legendary?
lol no cutting is exactly what shanks and roger are doing. Oden and kidd both got attacked with no cutting done to them Oda has already established that a swordsman that chooses to not cut is still a swordsman.

On panel or not, i repeat Mihawk has never clashed with a top tier.. Kaido and Shanks situation has no conditions.. Shanks Bounty was 1 Billion when they dueled and he lost his arm after which is the main reason Mihawk doesn't want to settle things with Shanks..
It's not that Whitebeard called their duels legendary, it's that in this era there was so few Legendary events happening that now Shanks and Mihawk duels were deemed legends when it wouldn't have been in the time of Roger and Rocks..
