Yeah, you'll find those who benefit most from a policy will be the most ardent supporters - as it's self-serving. For example, people who are reliant on social welfare, disability payments, etc are the most in favour of them. It would be true if people voted for those who are advocating for:
- Better social service
- A powerful healthcare system
- Free schools
- Radical Wealth redistribution.
If your point of view is to vote for a billionnaire when every data and studies point to the end of meritocracy and the redistribution of wealth... Well I can't count you vote for economical interest as a legitimate and I'm forced - when looking at all the impacts of the politic of Trump on people (not just workers) - to say that your vote is not based on interests, but values.
Values that have been radicalized in order to hate on those with less privileges than you. And here those are :
- Migrants
- LGBTQI+
- Minorities
When, presented evidences (I'm talking about a french case here) that you are voting for a guy that does not understand what he promotes, has never worked a day in his life, is actually voting AGAINST the raise of the wages and AGAINST better working conditions and rights for workers..
The only possible explanation to your vote is that the facts of the incompetency of the one you vote for do not scare you, the only thing that you are voting for are for those "damn migrant" to get the hell out of your country because they are taking all your money (when in reality it's not the case).

Unfortunately my dude, I've met enough dole dossers who claim mental illness but spend all day on their hobbies; have a fulfilled social life, and are able to function normally UNTIL they have to work and suddenly they're too ill. That's not a person who is disabled - it's a leech.
