It’s becoming tiresome to deal with him constantly acting holier-than-thou compared to everyone else in this thread, all because of his supposed opinions and his ability to write long texts that most of us don’t even bother to read fully.

I have a bad habit of wasting time with him because I tend to forget and move on, but being reminded of certain situations with him helps bring me back and lose all interests. I don't feel like typing it all out right now so I'll just link 2 posts of mine in those situations. Y'all can read the comment chain and judge for yourselves.
The sheer number of smear threads targeting Trump, Elon Musk, and the January 6 individuals who were freed after years of being locked up in abhorrent conditions on r/politics is unreal.
That place isn’t even trying to hide its blatant attempts at psychologically manipulating its members and readers into adopting a specific set of political beliefs and behaviors anymore.
The constant flood of smear threads against Trump, Elon Musk, and anyone leaning conservative (which get downvoted to oblivion) is very much the same as the tactics used in totalitarian societies or communities. Dissenting voices are silenced, opposing perspectives are demonized, and conformity to a specific ideology is enforced through relentless propaganda.
Here I thought r/politics was meant to cater to people from all sides of the political spectrum 🙄

At the same time, Trump has passed executive orders allowing federal workers to be fired for speaking out against him. He also issued punishments for everyone who stood against him during his trails. There's also Twitter and Facebook blocking more anti-Trump posts. Hell...even r/conservatives is a right echo chamber.
