But how are we going to finance our high tech fighter jets and military equipment if we pay for poor people’s healthcare?? /s

btw did you hear about the anti-Jewish shooting in DC? Was anyone in your community close to that couple? I think I know a guy who went to college with the woman that was killed. He said she was a really good person.

I hate how Israel creates so much antisemitism against Jews in the west via its own shitty actions, but like if you look at how the Israeli government responded to this, they never take responsibility for their own role in this. Instead they just used the tragedy for their own agenda.

This isn’t to say antisemitism only exists because of Israel. But their actions during the war seem to have only made things worse for everyone associated with them: Israelis, diaspora jews, and of course the Palestinians.
Butterfly effect right there.

I have family in DC, but we don’t speak much so I don’t know if they were familiar with the victims…and yeah, all the more reason not to support Bibi and his goons, they just help foment even more hatred for the same people they claim to want to protect and embolden racists in other countries (including and especially this one). To be fair, though, creating new terrorists and other violent offenders has always been an intended side effect of Israel’s existence; how else can they play the victim if nobody hates them?? 😒

I’m so pissed off about the Medicaid cuts…I work at a retirement home and we have a bunch of people on state assistance, they’re gonna suffer mightily as a result. What am I supposed to do? Kick out a 90 year old hospice patient and toss them into the street? Tell them to get a job? This isn’t going to prevent fraud (which itself is negligible compared to all the people who genuinely need help), I hate how the cruelty remains the point for every American politician :halt:
Man the Orange clown is complete moron as expected . :mihugh:

To be fair, even outside of Israel, it seems most Jews are Zionists. You also mentioned it about your community.

Zionism is just the belief the state of Israel should exist. If you’re talking about the war I’d probably disagree. I’d imagine not many Brooklyn Jews are okay with Gaza being turned into a resort town
Bro, back when i was in high school, i was forced to visit an Holocaust center in Rio de Janeiro to do research about Judaism. Me and my friends had to interview this old Jewish guy...we talked a lot and he seemed very proud about Israel military history. I was anxious as fuck during the entire thing, old men kept gazing me as if he had personal beef with me. Pretty sure that are a lot of Jews out there that are creaming their pants with the war on Gaza. Check out youtube war footage and look at the comments...

that's a weird post.
I'm from Germany. We were made to visit a Holocaust memorial in school. We see Holocaust survivors on the news programs from time to time. There are tiny sized memorials shaped like cobblestones in many towns in places where Jewish families used to live before they were deported to camps.
There are plenty Holocaust survivors who condemn the aggressive course the modern state of Israel has taken.
I honestly don't know what you are trying to say with your post, or what kind of image you're trying to draw of Jewish people.

You mean the guys running out of the sewers in Brooklyn last year?
Those guys, chabad, probably do support Israel’s conquest of Gaza and the West Bank.

They’re religious Zionist and support a one state solution where Palestine doesn’t exist.

But people like that are tbh a minority of American jewery. The non religious and liberal sects make up like 70-80% of American Jews.

Some are, some are anti war, many are somewhere in between

but a lot of those comments might not even be from Jews. Right wing Christians and Hindus are also really pro Israel.

Even outside of that sect, isn't it mostly the same? I mean, you have also talked about your community, which isn't even that orthodox.
