Lula is just scared of Trump. This is not a Trump anti-feat. Lula literally wants Brazil to be siding with dictators and turn this country into Venezuela because he knows he can't win fair elections. Therefore that's the only way to maintain his power and not be arrested by all his corruption.

You can double the minimal wage and having millions unemployed the day after. Best thing to improve life currently is having governament spending less so inflation doesn't goes crazy. Maybe start really paying debt so the taxes can really be used with tax payers instead of just paying debt interest rates.

And this is a sickness of democracy because it is always good for presidents to create debt and spend more than they can, making inflation and leaving the "bomb" to the next president to deal with.
At first I'm really against all those things Trump is doing with those said taxes. I understand he is doing it to negotiate because USA is so fucking powerful economic wise that no country in the world can afford not negotiating with him but at the end it just forces countries to seek diversity into their trades so they don't be so dependent on US so next time they don't get bullied like that.
If at the end his strategy proofs to be worth it for US I'd really be surprised but at first is just a bad thing for the whole world.

Welp...Trump just declared a state of emergency for all of DC so that it becomes federal territory, and will deploy the national gaurd to the streets.
Posse Comitatus forbids the military from being deployed on state grounds and enforcing state laws. The workaround is to declare state of emergencies and federalise the areas.
Trump plans on doing to same to other big cities, all for the purpose of expanding executive power. Coincidentally, this was all detailed in Project 2025.

Is this supposed to contradict what I said? DC crime has decreased 30% over the last 20 years, but has been on the uptake since 2020. MPD(DC police) is only at 50% manning and a large chunk of crimes has been done by minors. The increased crime rate has been doing a symbiotic dance with the increased cost of living.
Dumping the miliary on state soil is very excessive and ignores the core issues. And nobody is factoring in the potential consequences of such actions.

This is such a bad faith argument; every major company can afford to pay their employees livable wages while still turning a massive profit, they did it for decades before deciding they wanted more to themselves, it’s the outrageous greed that’s suppressing salaries. Inflation is out of control because we have a failure of a businessman placing absurdly high tariffs on every single international import with zero regard for the impact it has on the average consumer; less spending is fine, but these tariffs are raking in billions of dollars for the government and none of that is paying down the debt OR going back to regular people and stimulating the economy, it’s going towards tax breaks for the rich and into the pockets of thousands of lobbyists. The shithead at the top clearly isn’t interested in lowering the national deficit, he just wants to swing his tiny dick around and lie to his followers who lap it up while he grinds them into dust with the rest of us, so it’s a pipe dream to say that taxes can be applied in the right places, he’s just not gonna do it.

Trump has been consolidating executive power since regaining office in January. There is supposed to be a 3 equal branch of govenrment to keep each other in check, but Trump now has the opposing 3 branches full of his supporters.
The end goal is give the President the ability to do whatever he wants without consequence. They want to change what's legal ti make it harder to get them out, and Trump wants to go beyond his final 4 years in office. The executive branch will be the #1 branch, and everything will go through them.
