like i (subtly) said, in terms of haki, i'm not convinced until further notice... knocking out only kids like collon eeehh
but in terms of devil fruit showcase as imu desenced, 10/10 (homelander minute details meme) - the trees and houses laughed all the more hysterically as imu began his transformation, in the end it turned into a dark banquet, even affected elbaf's villages so far away from the castle... by far the best and most dominant control over an awakened DF in the story until now, even the clouds around his shoulders are different with all those eyes.
those lines around his upper body until the fingers certainly give him vibes of the ancient civilizations 900 years ago (i somehow remembered the zonai in zelda totk).
he's literally reverse nika but with more powered up and clearer DF effects, even the drums' sfx of his descent are written in black, nika's are white... we could label imu's as the drums of oppression.

Imu's world is not complete left use confused of what it is, could it be the 4 bridges haven't finish or something else entirely. But now we know his weakness and that's the reason why WG is building those bridges. Imu wants to travel around the world on these bridges. The construction were started during the void century, so we can assume he ate the fruit during void century giving him all side effects.
He could be a human or a hybrid with Lunarian. He calling lowerlings insects could indicate that he hates his own kind or he is a race from outer space.
Yea Oda may change the story, but I believe it should be safe. It was just the three winged races. It doesn't have Lunarian which is likely the important part.

Damn that latest chapter made a lot of people flip from "Imu the trashiest villain" to "all hail that hot bishounen", where are my Limu friends....

Imu's tattoos look like circuitry to me, and imo its for a reason. We also saw the god knights have steel hearts; or are they artificial hearts created with advanced technology? Imu's entire body is full of technology. Maybe he had to alter himself at great cost to meet joyboys measure.
The big twist of Imu and his servants might be that it is all forbidden technology. The abyss may be ancient tech made for instant transport that Imu twisted as a tool for control. The magic circles may be like the equivalent of the hologram/hard-light interfaces we see on advanced computers in Sci-fi. Anyone played Mass Effect? Magic runes might just be an ancient language, and the writing around Imu's pentagram might just read "danger: high voltage."
