Man, is very simply. Oda over wank Oden so much, and he creates a Mary Sue character to keep the legend of Oden alive, as a member of the Straw Hats.

Like the character or not, is very obvious the purpose of Yamato, and they are only denying because they do not want to accept reality or because many see in danger the incorporation of the bunny or another character they want within the SH.

Either people are saying she's not nakama material, she's retarded she looks like Nami with Horns etc... or they're silent haters.
First of all, most of the naysayers want Carrot as a crew member, so I’d argue that “she’s not nakama material” bit cuts both ways...but after seeing her official design courtesy of appearing on the cover of WSJ with Luffy (when’s the last time that happened to Carrot?? 🤔), it’s really only in the eyes where they look similar. Is it that hard for people to understand that an artist might draw certain characters the same way because that’s their style?? How do I explain this in a way the big brains will comprehend??

She's already the opposite of a mary sue... she's not really liked by anybody in the story.... she wears a mask, was hand cuffed by her father that explodes... I just don't see why theres negativity on her.... its quiet disgusting tbh.

How should I know, I've been battling her haters for months.

Sorry man, it was not the word I wanted to express, what I mean is that she is a strong character, she looks a bit friendly, naive, brave and a bit crazy, and also has a lot of potential for development.

Mary Sue is not the word that would define her, but it is so that the idea is understood. Of a character introduced in order to be praised by the author and to be a protagonist in the series.

However, its introduction was very sudden and it seems that Oda forced himself to create it (due to the theme of Oden in the crew).

When's the last time it happened to Jinbe, either? Or Brook before he joined? Or Franky, or Robin, or Chopper, etc...
There volumes we do see hints towards characters joining straw hats and even color spreads
Volume 64 you did see straw hats with alongside Jinbei before officially join the crew
Volume 46, 49, and 50 highlight of Brook joining the crew
Franky volume 37, 39 and 49 showed There also color spread cp9 vs straw hats alongside with Franky

The cover of Weekly Shonen Jump, they said. Not the OP volumes or colorspreads. Otherwise, Carrot would have been on quite a few.

Interesting moment. Momo questioning what it is that a shogun should do in that particular situation. Still reiterating the point that Momo's still just a kid and although he's trying, he's not totally sure of what to do to live up to the role of shogun.

And then comes Yamao, saving him and acting in a leadership manner, almost as if she was an example for Momo on how a shogun should act. Fighting back and protecting others. Taking up the role that Momo would've liked to do, but was too young and weak to carry out.

Looking forward to their discussion now that the dumb chasing gag will be dropped since it's clear to Momo and that Yamao is his ally and protector. Fairly possible that we could very shortly get the moment that drops Yamao's already tiny chances of joining, to practically zero.

Likewise, it's also make or break for Carrot. The Perospero stuff could end her story, or it could launch her to crewmate level relevance. In the next few interactions for both Yamato and Carrot, it should soon become clear which direction both characters will take.

For Yamato, a newfound purpose on Wano relating to Momo
For Carrot, a newfound dream and drive relating to the SHP

Except Yamato clearly wants to leave Wano/Onigashima.

Nice try, man...I’m pointing out that Carrot isn’t important enough to merit an appearance on the cover with the main character before she even joins, and you wanna argue semantics. Every other SHP has appeared on the cover in the arc of their introduction (except Jinbe), so showing up on the front notably foreshadows whether or not someone will be meaningful to the story in a starring capacity. Go ahead and check it out if you want: https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/7f37p4

LOL. Imagine a character who waiting for Luffy so many years and that she has been a prisoner for 20 years, being beaten by his father and without having anyone by his side. Just to be able to fulfill his dream and the will of his hero, abandon all their dreams for a character who did not know that he was still alive, and who has as bodyguards characters capable of defeating yonko commanders. :doffytroll:

The leap of logic is astounding. The hate is seen clearly. They can't read context or understand probability.
