This is the same man who lost 7 times, was captured a dozen of times and blablabla yes.
That man has PTSD over fighting Oden 20 years ago, Kaido himself believes Oden could've killed him as he told the Scabbards he would've been fine with dying after their attack but they're not Oden
If Oden can do all of that there is absolutely no way WB couldn't have killed Kaido, Oden was WB's subordinate.
I already know what his title means and what it implies, the thing is, his title was never put in a title box, never acknowledged by another toptier, It's what people SAY about him, as in gossip,folklore.
And yet Garp,Sengoku,Buggy,Doflamingo,Kong all recognized WB as the strongest pirate alive, so does Oda since in the introduction of Marineford volumes where you can read characters bio it says "The strongest pirate in the world, he came to rescue Ace"
Kaido's title isn't ambiguous, whether his title is warranted or not, is.
Assuming his title is true? Yes
But we've led to believe the opposite since people who should be very aware of his strength (Garp,Sengoku,Doffy,Kong,Oda) all disagreed with it

Luffy won't defeat kaido either.
The way kaido has been portrayed, I really doubt anyone in wano is capable of soloing him especially if we factor in that it's not EoS.
So, kaido would definitely be a team work just like scabbards vs Kaido.
With two key differences -
It would be worst gen vs kaido defeating kaido with Luffy dealing maximum damage and taking the spotlight.
Zoro will cut kaido and will deal lethal damage for Luffy to finish him off.
Zoro killing kaido if happened then it will most likely happen after kaido would be defeated
The way kaido has been portrayed, I really doubt anyone in wano is capable of soloing him especially if we factor in that it's not EoS.
So, kaido would definitely be a team work just like scabbards vs Kaido.

@Extravlad There is no point in disputing Kaido being the strongest... It is way too obvious and confirmed a long time ago.

1- Luffy always outshine everyone against the main villain. This is a recurring theme in One Piece, with the Strawhats including Zoro always leaving the main bad guy to Luffy
2- Zoro knows that for Luffy to become pirate king, he needs to defeat the yonko/admirals, and the reason why Zoro trained was to help Luffy accomplishing that dream
3- It has already been confirmed for years that Luffy will be the one to defeat Kaido
From logic and common sense alone then, it's already obvious who will defeat Kaido
Zoro will likely be among the people who will ultimately weaken Kaido, but Luffy will be the one to finish him in a 1 on 1
