Clearly there are plenty of people on WorstGen who never thought Kaido was the strongest, even knowing the entire world thinks that Kaido is the strongest.

Even Gorosei talks about threat of blackbeard and his power.

To me , Akainu does not find kaido as huge of a threat if he is alone and kizaru was open to take duties to stop both of 'em meeting.

I need to be honest but if Zoro goes against Kaido now, he will get some easy shots with the help of luffy and others and it won't be the small attacks scabbards are doing to Kaido :)

Ah I think Zoro will be helped too, or else I would feel a bit biased differently.

But I don't buy Kaido as the strongest being yet, I think Mihawk would solo him with around high difficulty just like he would solo Shanks with mid-high or high difficulty given by his speech about his arm.

So Zoro is still left quite behind Mihawk nowadays, it will take 2-3 arcs to catch up in the merriest of cases.

Zoro never meant Kaido as the strongest being around, but he was mocking him. I didn't think about that, but regardless I had the feeling and these are the things that always make me skeptical about Kaido being the strongest in the world, but just the strongest creature.

I change my profile picture to akainu avy, I want something that proves that akainu is the strongest in the verse or at least makes me doubt (that he can be above them as well as kaido in his introduction), something that proves his superiority in relation to to mihawk, BB, BG, Shanks, kaido, Dragon. Zoro is just repeating the popular folklore about Kaido that he has heard from other people. He hasn't actually seen Kaido do anything. He hasn't seen Kaido neg Luffy, destroy the scabbards, lift the island etc. He only knows of the stories that have been perpetuated by other people.


However, and you can ask @Zara and @Fujishiro to back it up, I've placed Kaido tentatively at number 1 now as it seems Oda is, at least, playing with that idea.

The previous chapter was called Island of the strongest. Oda in the SBS (post TS) portrayed Kaido as the strongest being in One Piece right now. Countless people call him strongest.
