I think that Zoro will fight against the Emperors (not King) and I'm sincerely hyped.
But imo he will reopen the wound if anything, not kill Kaido. That's fanfiction to me

I cant imagine him fighting the emperors for sure. He may would try, but at the end, he will need to step down to king or smth, cause the emperors belong to the captain(s). Still assume it will be Luffy, Kidd and Law, which will fight them. Maybe Zoro, Killer and Bepo assist here and there, but the main fight wont be taken by them against the Emperors. Zoro is no doubt the second strongest in the crew and in my eyes the vice captain, but he is and always will be in the shadows of Luffy. This sounds way more negativ for him as it is meant to be, but Luffy will always overshine, like Roger always did with Rayleigh, which makes Rayleigh not less impressing.

I had the same feeling but in this chapter we see the statue of Kaido in dragon form getting his head cut:

I mean oda could have just destroy the monument but he instead show that Kaido head is getting cut! Foreshadowing who knows but the int for that are massive!!

Second point why I see Zoro having such a large role vs Kaido is what Marco said:

This are Oda though for Marco, he has no reason to go after Kaido but he is flying someone that has very good reasong to fight kaido!!

Nah, zoan categories aren't that well thought. Giraffes are put in the Ushi Ushi family yet cats and dogs are two different powers, the Mushi Mushi is probably an amalgam of some "bugs" (pretty sure it'd include the snail zoan, for example), Drake and Page One didn't eat the ancient model of the Tori Tori... Kaido's dragon being a fish makes total sense, but his animals are a bit messy.

I'm not an expert so I was legitimately wondering haha. I wish my knowledge on the matter was wider however, it's an interesting topic overall. But on one thing I'm confident, Oda's devil fruit picks weren't casual. Kaku was a giraffe so that he could augment his swordsmanship by swinging his neck to send powerful slashes etc. Wonder what Kaido's DF could mean

Finally a chapter that's bringing things together while answering few questions;

1. Why was Ace in Wano?
2. Where was WB after Oden's execution
3. Linlin's favour to Kaido
4. Kaido's mf*ing DF

Before Luffy appears on rooftop, I would love to see some Rocks flashback. The cliffhanger sure is hinting it. Just few panels of rookie BM, Kaido, WB, Shiki getting ordered/ yelled at by Captain Rocks will be enough for chapter 1000 to be 1000/10. Also in my head canon, chapter 1000 ends with a double spread of Supernovas facing 2 Yonkos.
