I'm not asking how Zoro should end up fighting King. The scenario I wrote was just a scenario
I'm asking WHY IS ZORO THERE ON THE ROOF RIGHT NOW?
Is it literally a waste of time then? Zoro gets to the roof does nothing and by whatever means you can imagine, he ends up down again fighting king?
You aren't thinking about this with a narrative mindset. Let's say:
- Zoro, Luffy, etc fight Kaido. Big Mom also interferes and makes it extremely hard to fight or cut Kaido.
- Not only this, Zoro learns he can only give superficial wounds, JUST like the scabbards with Enma. He realizes he's doing something wrong
- The island crashes on Wano. Everyone is separated. Zoro runs into King
- He defeats King, comes back to cut Kaido
That is just one avenue Oda could take (it will be different im just guessing) that could allow the NARRATIVE to show you why Zoro is on the roof right now. He would know he needs to grow, im just saying Kaido isn't his path to growth and doesn't have to be.
This is also barring the fact that the whole Shimotsuki/Ringo massacre plotline is STILL left unresolved. Ushimaru is 100% his father, and at this time we dont know who actually performed the massacre, only that they "rebelled" against Kaido and Orochi. Im still guessing King, because he's the only character with fundamentally no importance outside of his mysterious species, which is also something that needs to be addressed
