I agree. The pirates in the real life (old history) they needed the cooks a lot, because the food spoil quickly, and they need specialist to cooking rotten food. Other rol of cooks are supplyng vitamin deficits who causes scurvy, for example. And in the journeys they need to identifies poison food.
Extrapolating the cook rol in OP. Luffy are poisoned in WC, because, they dont know how to cook rare specimens.

btw congrats Rav with the Yamato stan. She was not so loved when she first came out and you have to deal with haters, now everything is changing,. To me, she was to going to be a great strawhat.

Carrrot 
Shouldn't even be in discussion from the beginning.
Luffy sees Pekoms and instantly thinks he has something similar to that ,on chopper. Luffy goes to Zou ,he instantly calls them all choppers. So useless ,she asked Pedro to do the easiest thing ,that is look out,since she couldn't be useful any other way. No cream of the crop ability on sight.
200 chapters on the story and still doesn't have any meaningful interaction with the MC, Tama in 2 chapters created better bonds with Luffy and goes to show how nonexistent Carrot chances are.
She is just a big backround character ,a "happy go lucky" bunny for merchandise.
Yamato
Not much about her right now ,but upon the newset chapter, she as well is a no go for me.
Leaving aside the face that while in the beginning Oda tried to make it different,he makes her seem more like Nami by the day, She knows too much through Oden's Log. Oden even wrote what Roger said in that shit,huge spoilers in these dirty pages and Yamato knows every single detail. You can't have a SH with knowing that.
Interactions with Luffy were at best ok as well, nothing to write home about.
Traits: too soon ,yet she has nothing for now.

The last member could very well be Jinbe.
I know BB having 10 commanders is kinda huge,but well ,knowing Oda he could very well have made Stronger a commander for shits and giggles .. Stronger goes with Doc Q vs Chopper.

Looks like Yamato won’t be keeping Oden journal as she just gave it back to Momo.
So the argument that she can’t join the SHs because she has Oden’s journal has completely lost its steam.
Also the Scabbards (including Kin’emon) seemed to have survived Kaido’s onslaught.
So the idea that Yamato needs to stay behind in Wano and be Momo’s retainer and protector has also lost a lot of its momentum.
Yamato has hardly any commitments to stay in Wano at this point. She’s almost certainly going to be leaving Wano, as she has stated her intention to do so to both Luffy and Ace. And is almost certainly going to be leaving with the SHs as she requested to board Luffy’s ship at their introduction.

Excellent points. If she does leave Wano, why would she leave with anyone other than the very people she has been waiting for and keeping tabs on?
To say that she gonna leave with Law or Kidd or whomever when she’s shown no interest in them doesn’t make any sense.
Kin’emon’s been with us for almost 10 years. It’s gonna be hard to see him go after all this time. It’s basically how I felt about Vivi leaving but on steroids. I feel your pain well.
