Wanji is not Sanji.

Wanji is a 40 yo cook who now resides in All Blue after getting bored of his duels with Mihawk.

Because of the connection a chef has with his kitchen knives Wanji can infuse his with the ultimate Haki, one that Mihawk could never obtain.

Mihawk always carries on him the tiny blade that he used on Zoro in east blue, to remind himself that he could never defeat Wanji

Oh ok. But then how is Mihawk WSS if there’s someone he couldn’t beat

I saw a comment on Reddit saying Luffy's attack might actually be called Red Roc and not Red Rock, which makes sense since it basically seems like an upgraded Red Hawk.

I feel like this chapter was meant to reach out to the more casual demographic of Jump subscribers who are vaguely acquainted with parts of the series, like "oh this thing reached its 1000th chapter let me take a look at what's going on here"

and Oda has put all those easily recognizable aspects of the series in this chapter like Ace, Luffy kicking ass against big bad guy, Zoro with Luffy and Luffy's tagline at the end and heck even the title is Strawhat Luffy.

I think it's safe to assume this was Oda's rationale before working on this chapter.

I mean i only had to look at the last two pages of his posts and cut out half of them from the past two days

I simply recalled part of his spam which i ignored at the time, but i thought its funny that he goes about it in that manner and quotes me with that "Zoro rent free" stuff

This is a great observation tbh. I wouldn't be surprised if subsequent chapters are pretty crazy in terms of revelations. Even act 3 ending will now be on a random chapter, and what happens in between 3 and 4 is presumably going to be a big deal as hinted at last year (Sabo, Vivi, Hancock)
