Oda never fails to stress that Luffy is the man Kaido has been waiting for, whether it’s in Vivre cards, the manga, the anime, or in interviews. He’s literally fighting him in a 1v1 and has been acknowledged multiple times. He’s that guy, simple as that.

It’s obviously Luffy. I don’t even know where the notion that it HAD to be Zoro came from. Luffy has been referred to as a samurai in Wano already so it’s not like it’s a swordsman-only thing.

I voted Queen. King’s durability moreso comes from the hax of his racial abilities. I don’t recall him showing any CoA feats but it is impressive that he withstood some attacks from Zoro even without the flames on his back If we include Lunarian abilities then the answer is obviously King tho

I think so For further proof see Kaido’s remark after Jack is defeated, Usopp’s speech about death, Black Maria and the “Wings of the PK” comment, and Zoro/Brook talking about CoC in 997. All tongue-in-cheek nods to the audience ;)

I think that was their CoC flaring up in the heat of battle, like we’ve seen with Luffy/Chinjao, Luffy/Doflamingo, and Zoro/Kaido Wouldn’t be surprised if it got retconned into CoC coating though

I think people are forgetting just how hard Queen was carrying the Calamities’ presence in Wano/Onigashima until Oda decided to actually do something with King’s character. Queen stole the show too many times for me to call him a disappointment. He’s basically the epitome of what I like about...

In terms of manga I agree completely. But I will say Luffy vs Kaido has a ton of potential. Anime-wise I have a feeling Toei will elevate the Calamity/Wings fights to insane heights when the time comes.

Hell no. We all have our favorites but One Piece wouldn’t be 1/10th the series it is without the SHs. Anyone arguing otherwise is a moron. In fact, I’d go as far as to say I wish Oda would give them more love especially now that both Sanji and Zoro are done.

It’s more obvious than ever that Sanji’s fighting an Admiral. At this point your best bet is to accept it, and just downplay his opponent as much as possible, like how y’all usually do w/ his matchups :kayneshrug:
