I see Orochi is still alive. People were predicting he was still around, and I considered the possibility for awhile. King is the best hero as always, lol.
Cool that they are compiling these for people who didn't get the magazines. Hopefully it will get released in English eventually since the Ace novel is getting released in English sometime this spring.
Also Law's the best pirate boy. :owo:
Kinemon is a great character, and the best scabbard, imo. I love his crazy disguises and eccentric personality. I don't think he's Strawhat material since he wants to fulfill Oden's dream of opening Wano. He could be an honorary though.
Great episode! I really feel for the poor people of Ebisu town, but Zoro's forced smile made me laugh. Also can't wait for Stealth Black vs Page One, but the fight is probably going to be saved for the episode after next at this pace Page One has weird hair though. Actually his design looks a...
I give it an 8/10.
Everything up to the last handful of chapters was really good. It had WB, Roger and some nice teases to the treasure that is one piece. Plus it was a good introduction to Oden and his nine scabbards. It's just the ending and Oden's characterization fell apart for me. I guess...
Oda surely knows how to deliver an emotional punch. Oden went down, but his comrades live on to carry out his will. Also Toki... she's kind of there I guess. Makes me wonder if there is a little more to the flashback that will be revealed later on. Glad the dumb citizens finally woke up though...
He's a good writer, and One Piece's length is a testament to that. It's just that Oda wants to end the story soon, but there's a lot of loose ends and plot points that he wants to include. It's making the recent arcs feel overly lengthy and complicated. Dressrosa being the best example. The...
Finally got around to seeing the episode and I thought it was good. I'll take this kind of filler over slow pans and reaction shots any day. I liked Franky's part of the episode the best. It was funny watching him go on a wild goose chase. :yearight:
Whitebeard probably didn't feel the need to waste resources tracking Blackbeard down. After all the One Piece world is a big place and Blackbeard could have hid himself pretty well. Shanks also doesn't like to involve himself in others affairs if he can avoid it. That's why he didn't attack the...
Fishmen Island was about racism though. If Luffy was a fishman they would have saved him. Wano has more of a cultural problem. People either mistrusting, not caring or just being plain awful even to their own royalty. If someone can't conform, they are persecuted. Plus I don't think their lives...
The traitor issue is certainly getting more complex now. It's getting to the point were it might not even be a scabbard. They all almost died with Oden. Why would Kaido subject his inside guy to a for sure death sentence? Props to Oda, this is quite the puzzle.
Honestly, I think it's time to give arguing over Oden. The character is just divisive. Personally Oden is a character that didn't work for me, and that's fine. I'm not going to find every character to be likable, and the opposite is true for others. A lot of people here really like Oden and find...
I'll say one thing about this chapter, it changed my view of Orochi. He's still despicable villain, don't get me wrong, but the people of Wano created a monster. They should have just stopped at the grandfather and any of his conspirators and then left the rest of his family alone. They probably...
Usopp needs more self confidence. I know the overcoming fear stick is part of his character. That he often tries to flee before he wins the battle, but the man has come so far. He has accomplished what a lot of pirates in One Piece can only dream of. He needs to learn how to motivate himself more!
I agree it will be Zoro's battle against Orochi to avenge Yasu. Although it would be cool if Hiyori got the honor of defeating him, but knowing Oda, probably not going to happen.
Whilst Zoro isn't my favorite Strawhat, it's obvious to why he's popular. He has a very appealing color scheme, an interesting fighting style, but most importantly, he appeared in some of the most memorable moments in One Piece. Stuff like "I will never lose again" and "nothing happened" are...
Okay episode, but I wish they spent a little more time on Caribou's cover-story recap. It went by so fast I could barely keep up. The portion with Komurasaki and the old guy was also good. Orochi's voice was interesting. I was expecting it to be a little higher, but it works.
Looking forward to...
More then forgetting, hoping certain powers are not just one time deals like Tankman, Snakeman, Laws personality swapping, etc. Also Oda is ignoring or forgetting that Luffy used to be more creative with his attacks, and typically has him spamming the same old gear 2 and 3 stuff instead. I would...
