A good chunk of Big Mom pirates got very little screen time, and I would have liked to see more from them. Did Charlotte Compote even do anything besides just stand around? Maybe they'll be a little more active in Wano?
Also Jinbei; he's a Strawhat now and has been left out so far. I feel like...
Unfortunately, Zoro has suffered the same problem as some of the other Strawhats in that he isn't getting quite as much focus as he used to. I will say I do like pre-timeskip Zoro a little more than his current self, but again I think it's down to screen time. He not really changed that much in...
It's a no for me. I've never put much thought into Kaido's image. In the end, he's just another obstacle for Luffy and the Strawhats to overcome. If anything 970 improved my view of Kaido a bit since it actually shows him being strategic against Oden.
After thinking about it for awhile, I realized Oden is the primary problem and the source behind most of my complaints. He is the driving force of this arc and the protagonist of this flashback, but don't find him endearing in the slightest. Every other part was enjoyable from Kinemon's...
One Piece ending isn't a big loss. I rather a series end on a high note then continue into mediocrity. Oda been a genius at keeping the story fantastically held together for these two decades. He'll probably try something new afterwards.
Anime-wise, One Piece is too big to end completely, but I...
Aw, I'm not even sure what we're really fighting about. I mean wanting to see the battle of the scabbards isn't about hype or feats at all. The whole backstory has been building towards moments like this. Oden following his dreams to its tragic conclusion, and some parts were really wonderful...
I pretty much agree with you. I think the thing that sticks out for me is how I compare this to other similar moments in One Piece's past. Particularly Zoro verses Mr. 1 comes to mind. Mr. 1 was basically immune to Zoro slashes being made of steel with moss-head overcoming him in the end. Zoro...
So finally got around to reading the chapter and I'm kind of mixed to be honest. There were some good things and some bad stuff. I'll get the bad out of the way first, but I, like most others here, don't think this battle got the fleshing out that it deserved. I was expecting the whole chapter...
Sanji's fight was great. I missed seeing him in action, but we get Stealth Black later, so more fun is to come. Toko was a bit creepy to me, but that's okay. Also the scene with Luffy and Raizo made me laugh. If Raizo was going undercover you'd think he wouldn't wear something so outlandishly...
I saw this on reddit. I knew they were making a live action, but Netflix? I'm not getting my hopes up given their previous attempts at anime adaptations.
But... if it ends up bad, I get to watch youtubers rip it apart for entertainment at the very least.
:ihaha:
Pretty funny episode between Shinobu's fear of sharp objects and Luffy's rivalry with Kidd. I really enjoyed it, but the hippo guy weirded me out a bit. I mean I knew he was strange from the manga, but seeing him in motion was kind of surreal. Luffy and Kidd kicking the crap out of him was great...
I voted for:
Thank you for loving me: It's impact on Luffy made it very memorable for me.
WB vs Roger: great panel!
A man dies when he is forgotten: Probably one of my favorite scenes in the entire series.
The Death of Merry: First time I ever cried for a boat.
I would like it to be one of the alliance members or nine scabbards was well. Kanjuro is the popular guess since he we don't know much about his past or what he was doing on Dressrosa during Kinemon's absence.
She feels more like a red herring to me. Someone you could think is the traitor but just diverts attention from the real deal. She might be mistrustful, but I think deeply caring about her friends makes her that way.
The traitor is probably someone who is not obvious or acting suspicious in...
Ugh, not sure why Oden trusted Orochi to give him a boat or do anything decent for that matter. Maybe Oden humiliated himself hoping Orochi would turnover a new leaf and give back the kingdom? Did he do it just to protect his people? Either way he should have seen that double cross coming a mile...
A few come to mind...
Luffy, Usopp and Chopper: They are like the kids in the crew. Always getting into trouble and always curious about the world around them. The three are very like minded, but really different from each other. A good source of comic relief for sure.
Zoro and Sanji: Boy, talk...
