Chapter Discussion Admirals are slaves confirmed

#62
He’s just such a vanilla Admiral. He’s exactly what I would picture if I pictured a generic Admiral with little/no character. He’s just showing up and doing it for the paycheck, not thinking too hard about anything and not really believing in much.

Definitely not a bad character, his birthday is extremely close to mine lol and overall I’d give him like a
Bish on the F-A scale. But all the other Admirals to me are A- at worst.
He just doesn't show but in style

Pinzoro did not choose to follow him, Luffy made him a deal about freeing him and he would become his subordinate and Pinzoro agreed without ever knowing anything about Luffy or his personality or anything.

Pinzoro literally had no choice but to suck the balls of a literal retarded manchild who had nothing going for him, who he knew for less than 5 minutes.

Meanwhile Kizaru reached the top of the power that controls the whole world and he only obeys people who rule the world while being their strongest fighter.

Pinzoro says a lot of things, yet he doesn't go through with his own words

Kek, remember this bitch saying telling Luffy to take things seriously, but 2 chapters later he sits around while not finishing Monet off and helping the crew? And then Monet almost nuked the island?

According to his own words, Pinzoro should've left the crew the moment Luffy took Sanji back to the crew without apologizing.
But that's Pinzoro for you, just empty words.
Where does Pinzoro come from?

Kizaru used to really annoy me as well. His constant trolling eventually grew on me, but it also makes him come across as ineffective. His lack of convictions make him unusual for a shonen character, but it’s overall a good addition.

His justice is unclear because he does his job and follows orders. I’d say his justice is mostly unimportant to him and not a driving factor.

He’s the most realistic military commander in that sense. You can’t have an effective army where all the leadership are like Fujitora, Garp and Kuzan. You’d have desertion and rebellion galore if everyone tried to follow their own sense of justice and push all their subordinates to do so.

He’s having his cake and eating it too. Hypothetically he’s capable of saving Vegapunk, or at least pushing back on the order, but he’s using the facade to wash his hands of any responsibility.
One of his only serious moments was when he told marine guys to attack during marineford lol

Facts he is the perfect representation of an Admiral. But what makes him so cool is his gives no fucks attitude. He simply cannot be fazed, by literally anything.

Look at this guys reaction to a literal top tier spawning out of nowhere.

He straight up ignores him to his face.

Gets stopped by him and is almost indifferent to the fact that he now has to fight a top tier. Wastes no time going at him.

It's like having to fight a top tier outside of his agenda for the day, is a mild inconvenience, when most top tiers would pack their shit up and avoid confrontation that they didn't sign up for.

Because Rayleigh is now getting in the way of his job, taking him on is now just a part of the process for him. And that's what makes him such a G. He doesn't care who or what he's up against, could be 2 Yonkou as per canon, as long as he's on the clock it's not much more than an annoying day at work for him. It's like he's saying that is what is expected out of an Admiral.

Couldn't be a better character to represent that position. Calm and collected, he has way too much confidence in his abilities and his organization to let anything truly bother him. Sengoku is the exact opposite which is why he is my least favourite Admiral by far, dude lets literally everything stress him out, but I guess you need a straight man to balance out Garp.

Wtf, the guy is a slave, it's expected from a non-conqueror. Weak and without Conqueror's Haki, mediocre slave.
In addition to being a hollow and shallow character with no depth, he is a slave.

Just wait until GOda pulls out his heartbreaking childhood story
Oda is just replaying the same tune at this moment. It's obvious that the WG, just like they attempted to get their hands on Big Mom and Kaido when they were kids, tried to bring Kizaru to their side. However, since Kizaru isn't a Conqueror, the WG succeeded in that, unlike their failures with Kaido and Big Mom.
We already have numerous moving stories of tragic pasts in the storyline, including the most recent one with Kuma. I'm quite tired of it, honestly. It's better for Oda to keep Kizaru as a hollow character as he has done until now.

I was just kidding but yeah he's a top tier guy fighting and capturing pirates since decades
Not much more to it (at the moment)

If he gives no fucks and nothing can faze him, why was he getting emotional after fighting Rayleigh =>

Writing your own version of One Piece these days lmao?

It never said Vista had superior sword skills thats a misd translation
It was in databook blue deep, never heard it was a mistranslation

when did it say Ben was ewual to Shanks?
Comparable strength ~ equal strength

Why is this a surprise for Kizaru? This has been his character for years. He asks no questions and does as he is told. Fujitora's blatant insubordination against Akainu already shows that not all Admirals are like Kizaru.

This thread is like picking out moments of Blackbeard begging for his life and going "See! All Yonko are little bitches!!!!". No, they aren't. It is just Blackbeard that begs for his life.

Doesn't change a single thing I said. He was never fazed by any of it, even with all these variables getting in his way he calmly carried on. What he does after off panel is a different thing altogether. He came to Sabaody in response to Luffy punching a CD. His goal was to take Luffy out. And because of not only Rayleigh, but Kuma getting in his way he failed to do anything and SHs got away.

He did not gaf about the prospect of fighting Rayleigh, or anyone for that matter. What he did gaf about was the SHs getting away. Even Rayleigh arriving was not enough to throw Kizaru off, Kuma just completely nuked the whole mission.

One of his only reactions i can remember is when he dodged whitebeard's weapon

Kizaru --> doesn't wanna be FA, just wanna do his job as told
GB --> wanna impress his idol and WG so badly...he's reckless in his commitment
Akainu --> he does question WG decisions nowadays when it seems corrupted
Fuji --> Mr. "Came to change the organisation for the better"
Kuzan --> went rogue after losing to Kizaru in weed smoking challenge
