Barrier works for Non Advanced Haki users.
Haki is the Ultimate Counter towards Devil Fruit and Weapons base fighters.
Haki is the great equalizer.

Barrier is the ultimate defense, a stupid plot element. Barrier is a barrier for all sorts of things, barrier for haki, barrier for punches...
We dont need to find ways how to defeat a barrier because Oda's intention of the barrier is to be invincible.
Invincible means advanced haki doesnt work.
