I stopped at the Red Cave arc on my first read but I wanted to experience this from the beginning again to refresh my memory.

I'm satisfied, the Nakama stuff is still present but Mashima learned from his mistakes from FT and this manga has tension, stakes, and casualties that matter. Some of the deaths literally reshape the story onwards, literally all I could ever want.
Power System is done very well + the fact I basically love Gravity based powers so it's no brainer that I will love whenever Shiki uses his powers and gets stronger. Shiki's moveset is amazing and very creative.
I'm still not sold enough on Rebecca, but not to the point when I read for the first time, during my first readthrough I disliked her panel time and thought she was a worse female lead than Lucy ( her counterpart from Fairy Tail ). But this time it felt a little better + I read further so I could see more of what she was doing, the scene where her body is destroyed from trying to go back in time to save Witch really hits home.
The side cast is amazing and each of the new additions to the crew is good. I especially like Jinn and Laguna.

What? No. I can't blame you since I wasn't visiting this thread for a long time but I was reading and talking with you guys before too.

I stopped reading around the 130 mark and only just picked it back up about a month and a half ago maybe more/less, tried to catch up on a few other series I was interested in whilst giving myself a backlog of EZ to read

We see Justice and Victory discussing Edens Zero crew's actions. They reveal that Edens crew saved 17 planets from Ziggy's influence over the last 3 years.
The Prayer Council determined that Shiki has become a threat to the universe, The Demon King Shiki is recognized as one of the Oracion Seis Galactica.
We see Couchpo, Moscoy, and Sister talking to Rebecca about her career.
We see Jinn and Laguna discussing the last 3 years of following in Ziggy's footsteps. We see Kleene, Homura, Sister, and Rebecca in the bath.
The crew rescues Captain Connor who is revealed to be working in Ziggy's droid factory which gives Shiki a clue.

The war begins, the alliance between Edens Zero, Elsie Crimson, and Holy attacks the planet!
The dragons are revealed to be protecting the planet by orders of God Acnoella, another Oracion Seis Galactica member who helps Ziggy.
Ziggy tells Acnoella that he must destroy Shiki who is a threat to the Cosmoses. The alliance fights off against the Dragons.
Homura goes into her Knight Gear: Warrior Maid 95.
Hermit tells Holy that she knows her past and she should use their equipment too per Shiki's orders.
Elsie goes to the palace to meet Ziggy.
Ziggy reveals that Planet Lendard was once the most prosperous and feared but Elsie thought it was a bad idea and started handing out the secrets of the kingdom which ultimately resulted in a war.
Ziggy vs Elsie begins. Ziggy tells her that Shiki is a threat to the universe. They fight and Elsie gains the upper hand until Ziggy starts speaking as if he became the old Ziggy again, only to trick Elsie and stab her with a gravity sword. He gains the upper hand and beats up Elsie. He prepares for what looks like a final attack but just in time, Justice comes in to take Elsie away.
Edens Zero ship encounters Deadend Crow, Holy is enraged by seeing him.
Shiki, Weisz, Homura, and Rebecca go to the Colosseum, and they encounter Dark Stars there. They create a subdimension to separate the crew from each other.
Weisz vs Killer, Rebecca vs Clown, Shiki vs Wizard and Homura vs Brigadine.
Hole goes inside Steel Sorceress 94 Knight Gear to fight Crow.
Shiki fights Wizard, he goes into Overdrive and Wizard uses Battle Dress.
Everyone fights the Dark Stars.
Shiki one shots Wizard after letting loose, he became more powerful than anyone could expect.
Justice interrogates Elsie and tells her that the entire Interstellar Union Army is coming to Lendard to defeat all of the Oracion Seis Galactica.
Rebecca fights Clown and gets an upper hand on him but then he uses Battle Dress.
Weisz fights Killer, he uses Overdrive, Killer reveals a healing tube with Weisz's mother's body.
Labilia encounters Killer and Clown who invaded the Edens Zero ship.
Sister and Hermit vs Clown and Killer.
Shiki keeps seeing the memories of Shining and Dark Stars together.
Hermit uses Overdrive. She defeats Killer but he self-destructs and infects Hermit with the virus.
Homura goes into Overdrive and defeats Brigadine but she is badly injured, Sister still fights the Clown. She heals Hermit and overcomes Clown's powers.
Shiki, Weisz, Homura, and Rebecca get into some sort of factory and see dozens of healing tubes with bodies in it.
Ziggy greets them there and reveals that there is a special kind of Ether only human mothers possess.
Ziggy pulls one of the tubes and reveals the body of Saintfire Nox who is revealed to be Rebecca's mother.
Ziggy reveals that Saintfire Nox is still alive.
Ziggy plans to collect the special Ether produced only by Human mothers to get to the Mother of the Cosmos herself and destroy her so no humans can be born after that.
Ziggy teleports himself with Shiki to another location.
The final battle begins, Ziggy vs Shiki, grandpa vs grandson!
Shiki immediately goes into Overdrive.
In another one of the shots of 20 thousand years into the future, astronauts find the Edens Zero cube and get life readings from it.
The Edens ship crew fights Crow, Holy is able to melt part of his body but he instantly swallows her up and they can't fire the cannon.
Another 20 thousand years later scene.
Astronauts are actually bots, they want to recover the body and take it to Planet Eden.
Back to the present, Deadend Crow goes into Overdrive and smashes the ship away.
Shiki smashes Ziggy's mask and he notices a familiar face.
Holy wakes up inside Crow, he manifests before her, she tries to attack him but her Ether powers are disabled. She reveals that he slaughtered all people on Atmos Day and by that her sister too.
Jinn and Laguna arrive to rescue Holy.
Kleene cancels the Ether Jammer which allows Jinn, Laguna, and Holy to use their Ether powers.
Ziggy's face is revealed! He looks like older version of Shiki.
20 thousand years later again. Planet Eden.
Back to the present, Ziggy reveals that he is Shiki but from 20 thousand years in the future.
Ziggy says he's from an alternate universe.
He reminds Shiki of his choice 3 years ago on Nero 66 when he decided to get out. Ziggy is Shiki who decided to stop the explosion. He used his Gravity powers to compress all 20 thousand bombs to destroy them. When he compressed the bombs with his gravity it resonated with Rebecca's power to jump in time and caused a spacetime distortion. It caused Shiki, Rebecca, and 20 thousand bombs to jump in time 20 thousand years later.
Ziggy's body was too much destroyed and he had to be rebuilt into a bot meanwhile Rebecca was dead but her body was used to work on as a research specimen.
20 thousand years in the future the human race is exciting. Ziggy kept living a life like a machine and with time he forgot who he really was and who Rebecca was to him.
Ziggy met up with some council who deduced that without Mother soon every robot in the cosmos will cease to exist.
All universes have the same fat but one. Universe Zero.
Ziggy is tasked with going back in time using Rebecca's powers 20 thousand years in the past to prevent the extinction of the human race.
The council wants to help Ziggy by building a spaceship that goes through time, the Edens Zero, which goes from Planet Eden to Point Zero.
Code 3173 Etherion is actually a power to travel through time, not a weapon like all Shining Stars thought because Ziggy told them.
In Universe 3173 Ziggy doesn't exist but Shiki sets out to space and fights in the Aoi war which causes the time jump after compressing the antimatter bombs on Nero 66. We are in Universe 3 which exists outside the wheel of time.
Ziggy goes into Overdrive!
Sister and Hermit question the reason they were created because if Ziggy doesn't exist in Universe 3173, they also shouldn't.
Holy, Laguna and Jinn fight the bots inside Crow, and at the same moment Crow strikes Kleene down.
Pino goes to find Ziggy. Shik vs Ziggy continues.
Cure is inside Crow.
Cure played with life and death by creating evil and later fighting it off with light, he gave Drakken and Nero their powers so later they can be defeated and bring Union Army closer to light.
Holy melts the source of Crow's power but Cure connects himself with it to repair it.
Eraser uses his power to create a hole in Crow's body for the Edens crow to shoot it down, Feather upgrades the trajectory and Edens Zero uses the Star Bringer Cannon and blows Crow into pieces.
Pino arrives in front of Ziggy.
For the entire time of 13 years Cure was behind Crow's actions. It was his greatest creation but thanks to this war Eraser and Feather were able to discover the truth.
Connor is Rebecca's father.
Ziggy was hacking Pino to get all information about Edens Zero.
Ziggy knew he was going to go crazy so he put the key to destroy him inside Pino. Pino goes into Overdrive!
Pino uses EMP in Overdrive and it brings back the old Good Ziggy for the time being, he tells Shiki to kill him before it's too late.
Ziggy reveals that he was taken over. On the quest to find Universe 0 an anomaly in the Etherion happened.
Right before the time jump, a chronophage came in contact with the ship. He ended up in Universe 1 not 0.
He lost all memories except for his name. The ship exploded right in front of him and he named the Planet: Granbell after this sound.
He rebuilt the ship and set out on a quest to find Mother but found Shiki along the way but he can't say where he did it. He died and the rest of the story is what we follow now but his body was taken over.
The memories from his life as Shiki that came from 20 thousand years in the future, were things that were told to him. The only thing he remembers is the time spent with Shiki on Granbell, he still thinks of him as his grandson.
He reveals that the true enemy is here on Lendard.
Ziggy wants to say Shiki's enemy's real name but he can't.
Ziggy will suppress his ether to its lowest level and then he wants Shiki to strike him down with Black Sky.
Ziggy cries and begs Shiki to kill him.
Hermit appears to have a clue about who the enemy is.
Elsie is freed at the end of the chapter.
Hermit needs to see Elsie's medical records.
God Acnoella goes into Overdrive and summons the Dragons to fight Justice.
She reveals that she uses Mobius: The Lendard Kingdom's great invention. The Perpetual Mecha Soldier Birthing machine.
She destroyed countless planets with the overwhelming might of Dragons.
Elsie cuts Acnoella in half before she finishes her speech.
Acnoella was actually Elsie's mother.
Elsie uses the Grand Chariot to completely destroy her mother.
Elsie takes over the Mobius system.
Elsie deactivates all Dragons.
Ziggy tries to tell the true enemy's name but he can't before Shiki does anything evil Ziggy is back and he erases or teleports Pino somewhere, Shiki thinks she was destroyed and is enraged and goes into Overdrive.
Shiki remembers their past and notices Ziggy is pulling the same moves he did when Shiki was younger and Ziggy admits it is true. Shiki is crying while charging up the Black Sky.
Shiki destroys Ziggy, Pino is back through a wormhole.
Shiki thanks his grandpa for everything.

The memories from his life as Shiki that came from 20 thousand years in the future, were things that were told to him. The only thing he remembers is the time spent with Shiki on Granbell, he still thinks of him as his grandson.
He reveals that the true enemy is here on Lendard.
Ziggy wants to say Shiki's enemy's real name but he can't.
Ziggy will suppress his ether to its lowest level and then he wants Shiki to strike him down with Black Sky.
Ziggy cries and begs Shiki to kill him.
Hermit appears to have a clue about who the enemy is.
Elsie is freed at the end of the chapter.
Hermit needs to see Elsie's medical records.
God Acnoella goes into Overdrive and summons the Dragons to fight Justice.
She reveals that she uses Mobius: The Lendard Kingdom's great invention. The Perpetual Mecha Soldier Birthing machine.
She destroyed countless planets with the overwhelming might of Dragons.
Elsie cuts Acnoella in half before she finishes her speech.
Acnoella was actually Elsie's mother.
Elsie uses the Grand Chariot to completely destroy her mother.
Elsie takes over the Mobius system.
Elsie deactivates all Dragons.
Ziggy tries to tell the true enemy's name but he can't before Shiki does anything evil Ziggy is back and he erases or teleports Pino somewhere, Shiki thinks she was destroyed and is enraged and goes into Overdrive.
Shiki remembers their past and notices Ziggy is pulling the same moves he did when Shiki was younger and Ziggy admits it is true. Shiki is crying while charging up the Black Sky.
Shiki destroys Ziggy, Pino is back through a wormhole.
Shiki thanks his grandpa for everything.

How did you like it?
As I told you before. Mashima repaired the mistakes he made in FT. The story itself has stakes, tension and characters are important to the plot. Ziggy's departure was written perfectly.

Have you lot discussed the possible big bad that Ziggy tried to tell Shiki about?

I think it has something to do with Hermit and Sister. The flashbacks were interesting and what picked up my interest was Valkyrie and Brigadine.
What if the flashbacks of Dark/Shining Stars come from the time when Granbell was a theme park? They all visited it and some tragedy occurred which led Ziggy to rebuild them into droids.
Another take would be that Dark/Shining Stars weren't always working for Ziggy but actually for the big bad and Ziggy removed their memories of such times.
I also suspect Rebecca from 20 thousand years in the future. She was said to be dead but her body was totally fine. What if she is the one who called the chronophage on Ziggy when he went to go back in time with Etherion on Edens Zero?
Or even Saintfire Nox herself?
