So not just me who gets this feeling... Ignia feels like the duo dragonslayer from Sabretooh, cocky in the beginning with annoying smirk like Sting but eventually became an ally
The way Natsu just lightly reacts to him in new chapter "huh, we get serious conversation?" also don't really portray Ignia as real villain.
I think his second in command will also become Erza's friend.

Not only for him, maybe Mirajane will return to help.
My only hope is that the final fights will be good. Alvarez started good too and we know what happened with the arc.
Natsu defeated the black mage Zeref, so it would be nice and make sense if Lucy the female main character defeats the female version of Zeref. I like you're idea.

After thought about the arc ,y hopes for this arc are....
- the return of Sabertooth
- return of FT plus Gildarts, Jellal, Meldy and the other old members of the Oracion Seis
- return of the S12 at least the six who survived the war.
- good battles against the dragon gods, Faris and Ignia.
- Gray vs the strongest of the new demons
- Lucy vs Faris
- return of END
- maybe the return of Zeref.
- maybe a battle between the Oracion Seis of Ishgar vs the Oracion Sechs of Guiltina.

Why not? We don't know how strong Faris really is, we also don't know what kind of power ups Lucy can get during this arc. Like Yoho said, Lucy could get a celestial king star dress or another power up.
I would like it if Lucy would be the one who defeats Faris.
All continents together would be really nice.
FT etc from Ishgar plus the S12 from Alvarez and Diabolos from Guiltena together would be a really sick alliance.

So that Brain/Zero guy from the "original" Oración Seis is back, and now the group is called Oración Sechs for whatever reason now mixing Spanish and German.
That these so-called "Acnologia-level" dragons were never at real full power is good. Now it makes some sense that they could be defeated by the likes of Natsu with so little effort. But it now makes even less sense that Acnologia didn't murder them if they were officially nerfed all along.
Now, some questions on things I may have missed:
- Why didn't Dogramag also revive and power up? He was also a dragon god.
- Why didn't Ignia and Zeref 2 fight 1vs1 right there and then, again?
