Game 01: Generic Mafia [Game Thread]

How many mafia games did you play? 1-2 votes are nothing. If we find a true suspect we will put our votes on it.
Experienced players don't worry about one or two votes lol.
I would let you go until end of day for the sake of it. Then show us your strategy to find the SK.
True finding the SK D1 is the best option. But if we force the search then we might also stumble upon obstacles. Just keep your options available. Pressuring the SK is one thing, but doing it obviously can get you easily read as mafia.

Is there a bare minimum requirement for lynching in Mafia, or is it whoever has the most votes? I do not want to die because 2 people, who could be scum, persisted in lynching me off of my grand strategy.

The SK is tricky to find but we should put the lion's share of our effort into cutting them down like the dog they are. Ideally - the Mafia WANTS the SK to linger. It's more pressure on the town and ends the game sooner. The longer a town has, the worse it is for the Mafia. Any Mafia suggesting they target SK day 1 is either new to the game or unintelligent. Ideally, Maf doesn't target Sk until 6 players have been killed in night phases.

After reading through TAC’s essays of why we need to find the SK, I agree, the SK seems like a bigger threat for the game so far. It’ll be easier to stop SK than the two mafias. How? I don’t know lmao

I just noticed there is a mafia blocker. I don't know exactly what his ability is, but judging by the name, it seems he has an ability to block a mafia kill during nights. Maybe it could work better in our case to find him first. While the serial killer is alone, there is only two mafia

It probably works the same way as Consort in Town of Salem - completely stops you from acting. It could be fortunate, if it's the same way, if they block the SK during the night phase, they might be auto-killed.

I don't know how to catch the SK. I am just saying, do not get bogged down in the Mafia when the SK presents the Mafia with its best opportunity for victory.

I will just clarify that vanilla roles are plain simple and there is no additional mechanics. The SK has endless shots unlike the town vig, else he dies by one shot. He can be normally roleblocked. His shot can normally be protected.

No he blocks the doctor for example from protecting someone. So the mafia kill doesn't get blocked. This is vital because the mafia can find out roles with the role cop.

So the ideal scenario is: The mafia rolecop finds out the doctor. Mafia blocks the doctor. Mafia kills the doctor or someone else.
Mafia can mislynch the doctor and then kill everyone freely. It's all possible.

Well we just have 2 shots as town and you will mostly keep a shot for LyLo/MyLo. So it has no priority for mafia to find the vigilante D1.
Our priority should be the rolecop. He is really dangerous. As it's mafias only way to find out our Power Roles.

I agree with both @TheAncientCenturion and @Finalbeta. As of now we have two night kills looming over us. If we get a mafia then then equation still remain the same.

This imply that in two days we are risking losing four townies. That's too much of a risk.

But if we get sk then we can reduce this by half which is very significant.

Since you are experienced player, whom you think is bigger threat - mafia or sk?

in my opinion mafia is more dangerous. Sk kills randomly and is only one person. Mafia is coordinated and multiple at the very leas 2 depending on the size of the game. How it works is if you kill godfather, some one will take the killing role if you manage to kill the person with the killing role, the next one will assume the killing role. At the end of the day both are dangerous so if you out the sk let it be known!

I don’t dislike the idea of trying to get SK first but that is extremely hard early on the game. And the reasoning is perfect 2 death per night will add up and weight a lot. Invest role needs this NP and the next one to start discarding people until they find the one so they can snowball on SK or mafia member with out letting it be know he/she is the invest role.

lol what did you expect me to do? Just be like "Hey playa, it's cool that you're lynching Vonal for no reason. I support your decision and won't question you?"

The game barely started and you were already randomly lynching people. Obviously, someone is going to ask you something, since no one did, I decided to. Especially, I wanted to know why you chose @Vonal when there's so many other players that didn't post. Instead of answering my question, you just decided to be suspicious of me. Aren't you changing your mind too quickly and trying to stir something?
