No new gears, Awakening will be lame, Luffy's greatest power was already revealed in fight vs Katakuri - Oda will get his ass up until the enemy decides to give up.
You still cannot grasp the basic concepts of a battle shounen, do you?

It's like claiming Nardo's PUs stop at sennin mode lol.

how that will help in g4 against kaido tough
Ofc nothing. G4th is far stronger than G2 and G3 combined.

Wtf is Gear Stacking?
Gear Stacking is when he combines Gear Second with Gear Third(bone balloon)

Pretimeskip, due to gear second's drawbacks in Enies Lobby(taking a toll on his stamina and reducing lifespan in continues usage), combined with gear 3rd's after-effect(turning chibi-mode), using both completely knocked him out against Moria, after 2 usage of the jet shell

But it's not the case anymore due to much greater mastery over his gears like seen against Yamato where he combined both gear2 and gear3 without any issues

And to be honest the current situation is pretty similar to thriller bark. He still has gear4 after effects(10 minutes timelimit due to the way haki works), so because of this i don't see how Oda could really explain giving Luffy a new mode on top of that.

However what i can see happening is Oda using a similar concept to the gear stacking he displayed against Moria, by making Luffy stack his gears at a decisive moment against Kaido

With that said, although he joked around it, the fact that Oda decided to acknowledge the potential idea behind gear 5 might mean that in a corner of his mind, he might try to introduce it

Gear 4 was the gatekeeper for commander level opponents anyway which have been the core development for the major part of post-timeskip, so now that it's heading for the next level(emperors), it makes sense for Oda to go a step higher as well

Yeah, G4- or at least Bounceman- is done. It was introduced coming up 6 years ago and has lost its potency both in-series and for the reader, it’s time to move on and do something new, especially given how important a fight this is for the series. Either a new, final super form of G4 or G5 is needed, there’s no way Kaido can get beaten with the same form that failed against Cracker and Katakuri and is now being used liberally against fodder.

I don’t think it’ll be Awakening that’s the next step, all Luffy’s training for this fight has been Haki focused. Throwing in Awakening right now, which has really barely been explained, wouldn’t make sense, especially since going forward Vegapunk should be explaining DFs very, very soon. That’s when Luffy should get Awakening, when the story is focusing on it.

And if Luffy’s next form is called Odenman I’ll vomit, and I actually like Oden.

I'm pretty sure there must be another Gear 4 form he has to show. Its gonna put him physically closer to Kaido...

I will say that besides this there can also be a possibility of him using a 10% of awakening Gear5 /new ability, like just some slight enhancement to make the cut...

I’m a bit confused as to why Luffy’s punches physically touch Kaido. Wasn’t the whole point of learning internal destruction making sure he can hurt him without touching him? Is it meant to be a sign that Luffy hasn’t fully mastered Ryuo?
Because the whole physical force would be wasted. Why use only haki when you can use haki and physical blows?
If he was using only haki his hits would be even weaker since the whole physical part would be excluded.

Exactly....either Oda forgot that or Luffy hasn't mastered it...but the punch from red roc was a real deal and clearly shown that it was not the case...anyways, it will become clear as the fight progress....
