Genocides are indeed a difficult concept to bend and fit. But Putin and Netanyahu are far right wing. A genocide doesn’t have to be industrialised with trains and specific places to kill people fast. People commonly hear about the nazi genocide of the Jews in WW2 and nothing else. There are many events throughout history that are referred to as genocides by historians. It’s called a political buzzword in the present by many people and newspapers because investigations and research aren’t led yet. Wether you call it a genocide or not doesn’t change the fact that mass killing of people is wrong though.

Russia isn’t trying to kill all Ukrainians, they are trying turn them into Russians.

I don’t think israel is trying to kill all Palestinians either, although many people in Israel do want that. Rather their goal seems to be to expel Gazans into Egypt.

Genocide is the systematic destruction of an ethnic group. It isn’t all killing either. For example in the Armenian genocide a lot of women were forcibly converted to Islam with their children.

But yeah i don’t think there’s much proof that either are a genocide
