Have you ever had to fight seriously in your life?

Have you ever had to fight seriously in your life?

If, yes did you won/lose/withdraw?

Could you avoid it? Was there a time when you were forced to do it?

For me.

I had a few fights in my life a few serious few not.

Most of the time I was defending myself but there were a few times when I pushed as far to provoke someone to fight me. There was a time when I was a scapegoat and I was forced to fight with people I don't know about.

I tried to avoid few fights via talk no Jutsu and it worked maybe 1/10 times.

This is not the thread to boost your ego in front of the users of the forum I just wanted to know if there are people here who had stories which they didn't want to be part of.
Happened few times, if you mean like serious fights for life or if someone wanted to beat your ass off.

Yeah, pretty much, I was born in caucasus region cuz my parents moved there from Russia when I wasn't born yet, they stayed there after USSR collapsed and I've had some tough days there, but thanks to that I've got into martial arts and it became my passion since. We moved from there to Ukraine since there was all out war with Russia and we were living right at place of the conflict but unfortunately the war started in Ukraine too. So, long story sort there have been situations that I was lucky to survive.

I almost killed someone when I was young because of anger. Since then I think I developed a phobia of fighting.

I was caught up in a couple of scuffles later in life where I was punched or kicked by someone but whenever I try to retaliate I freeze up, afraid that I'd badly hurt my assailant. I genuinely get flashbacks Kaido style of that moment when I find myself about to hurt someone LoL.

Well at least I'm bit tall and athletic so most people try to avoid picking fights with me or that would be a bit problematic for me.

I believe i wrote somewhere about my fight in school and that karate kick... nevermind.

Another fight i had was in kindergarten with some girl. I don't remember anything, but by my mother's words, it was because of some toy, like a toy castle or something alike (kids are crazy bastards). We were just pushing and slapping ourselves till she hitted me with this toy in my jaw. I needed a seam because of my open wound. I was okay, but that girl was kicked out. Well, i don't have regrets, good riddance.

I had a karate sparrings, but they are hardly a fights.

I hope you stay safe and maybe move out one day to some safe country.

That work completely opposite in my country. If you are bigger there is a bigger chance people will try to pick a fight with you to test themselves.

Not necessarily. I lost my patience a few times in a fight out of some instinct or some shit?

There's nathing wrong to practice mortal arts by yourself if you have the necessary equipment. The only mortal arts that I've learned in a mortal arts school was taekwondo the rest I've learned by myself.

I guess, but it sounded like a constant rage issue unless I'm wrong.

It's the same with my country too. But it's always just a test of strength where there is small chance of hurting your opponent. Generally it'd be just wrestling with no striking. However when trying to pick genuine fights people generally try to avoid the bigger guy. At least in personal experience.

That's exactly what happened with me. It didn't even begin in a serious situation. I think I was about 9years old when I was playing hide and seek with my two bodies. As I remember they were supposed to be hiding and I was searching for them. That's when they had the brilliant idea to ambush me for a scare and a good laugh. When I was looking for them they got the drop on me and jumped me from behind, dropping me on the ground with my face on the dirt and them sitting on my back.

At that moment I didn't know they were my friends, all I knew was that I couldn't breathe properly and someone was on top of me and was laughing about it. I don't know if it's adrenaline or what but I managed to flip them over and my hands picked the biggest rock nearby and smashed it on one of my friend's skull. I was seeing red by that point and if it wasn't my other friend's shout of panic that halted me I'm not sure I'd have stopped with just one hit.
