He is part of the Monster Trio if you mean the strongest on the ship, but he is not even close in strength to the other two, he is much weaker than Pre Ryuo Zoro and Luffy.
Feats speak of something else.
Pre Exoskeleton Sanji < Jinbe. Current Sanji < Yamato
It was pretty obvious that he wouldn't, after all the "hatred" for the Vinsmoke family.
I didn't even hear about this blue flames theory until the volume came out.

For nothing* I don't know if "Until the end of Wano" was popular, but people laughed at it for one reason only: he fainted, that's all.
