The Parent/son thematic, the notion of overcoming fear, the notion of revenge against tyranny, the notion of hunger, the notion of golden age, the mythical representations, from the greek mythology to the anciant chinese one.. etc. All the theme all through the arc are well fletched.

Concerning worldbuiling, Wano is one of the most developped world in the One Piece verse, but Oda didn't even stopped their and extended on knowledge on the actual world of One Piece and storytelling pieces we already knew.

So no.. Those two things are precisely the things that were amazing in this arc...

The best and worst part of Wano was Gear 5, badass design and goofy enough to keep things fresh and unpredictable. But, the way Luffy died, resuscitated himself and came back alive... that shit is cringe.

Having said that, I'm sure the anime will make it hype af. Can't wait

It was best arc to ever be and than got slapped in the face from Oda, to put salt on wounds he even parraled luffy to ryuma instead of zoro... it broke half of Zoro fans in the forum... some havent recovered to this very day

I have been hating Wano since Udon began. It was far too long and reading weekly since Fall 2018 to Fall 2022 never paid off. Some Zoro fans were holding on to ZKK as the saving grace but I don't think they considered Wano amazing at any point after the first act.

Other than the rooftop fight, which is legitimately the most hyped I have ever been during Wano, in no point during this 150 chapter long saga was there any long stretches of hype moments.

I mean, I did see lots of ZKK believers saying that they liked wano and immediately changed their tune as soon as it didnt happen. Its not only Zoro fans thaf hate wano, but i did see them turn the most out of any other part of the community

Storytelling is more than just art, it's an artistic craft. it can be objectively "dissected".
