The themes and world building were poorly done
The Parent/son thematic, the notion of overcoming fear, the notion of revenge against tyranny, the notion of hunger, the notion of golden age, the mythical representations, from the greek mythology to the anciant chinese one.. etc. All the theme all through the arc are well fletched.
Concerning worldbuiling, Wano is one of the most developped world in the One Piece verse, but Oda didn't even stopped their and extended on knowledge on the actual world of One Piece and storytelling pieces we already knew.
So no.. Those two things are precisely the things that were amazing in this arc...
