Idk, would you really want to see, idk, Kaido again just for him to be hypetooled by Akainu or Garling or Dragon or whatever? Or BM by Mihawk or Shanks or BB?

And yeah, Oda can have them losing their memory, but what could this bring to the plot? Same if they just retire.

Now they have their closing (as bas as BM's was) and there Is not really space for them in the big plot that Is coming:

That panel Is a generalization obv., but narratively speaking It Is that way.

Gorosei will be at least future villains, Mihawk Is Zoro's final/most important adversary, the Admirals have all great plots ecc...

However, narratively, they won't be as important as the ones in that panel.

If Big Mom survived that, so would Kaido who had dragon scales.

Imho, the manga is already bad enough with the fake deaths and fake tensions, let Big Mom and Kaido stay dead. We don't need them in the story anymore.

Tbh I thought Big Mom and Kaido getting disintegrated in the lava is a lowkey hype for Akainu. I want this to stay this way. It's just better for the manga since Akainu is one of the final Antagonists.

I hope she's dead, I don't want her to return. Don't see the point of her coming back to fight Luffy, she already lost to two who together are weaker than him and Luffy overcame someone stronger than her. Other than Loki, Shamrock should be the only one for him.

Thinking a freak of nature even among all top tiers like Big mom killed by some passive magma and some bombs(one of the same type bombs did no major damage earlier) is a joke.

At least Kaido was legit put out of commission by Bajrang gun and we get some few extra panels in detail how Kaido went down through the core. Meaning a proper closure for his demise,

While Big mom doesn't really get the proper sent off compared to Kaido.
You can hate Big mom, but we all know she's too strong to die just like from that.
It depends on author, he can kill off a monster that is build different among top tier but can let a fodder survive the same situation

It's not even a matter of "Oda doesn't kill", this is just not how villain deaths are written. Anybody who has read a piece of literature aside from One Piece can easily tell they are alive.
