Killer is also fine. He’s not messed up and his mask hasn’t even broken yet.
Yamato also had her time against kaido. Why would the straw hats fight the big mom pirates? This is another straw hats vs CP0 or straw hats vs kaido thing.
Straw hats only have business with the beast pirates this arc. Yamato also has serious business fighting smoothie.
Killer is kids combatant. Right hand. LEADER of the next generation. There isn’t anyone more qualified to fight smoothie then him. Straw hats aren’t beating two yonko crews

Killer had his big moment already. The Strawhats are main characters. For sure Killer can help fight them. EVERYONE should. If they come around, you literally would need every Strawhat, Law and Kid pirate able to assist in fighting them. Killer fighting Smoothie does not negate the fact that there are 30 other named BM children on that ship.
But again, Killer had his major victory. I'm not so sure he's getting a second one. Yamato held back Kaido and essentially was losing. She hasn't gotten really any notable victory but is probably the strongest person outside of the M3, Kid and Law currently (no comment on Killer because I haven't seen him perform similarly yet).
You and I agree on Kid, but I think we disagree on Killer's relevance right now. Again, this isn't even really based on anything. Oda can just fuck over that entire crew and nobody fights them.
I just think that with every Strawhat going to the performance floor (as per Franky in 1027), and since Franky and Jinbe are with Kid and Law's crews, they all may be used to significantly defend Kid and Law while they take on Big Mom. From who is another question, because only fodder is around and Oda is currently not addressing her crew.
