Curry had 34 (Tatum had just 12 total) and Warriors couldn't put away the Celtics. Boston gets 1-2 nights of forcing Curry to under 40% shooting and they will have a legit shot to win the series

Celtics did not want to miss in that 4th quarter. Also, sorry Roo but Jaylen Brown > Jason Tatum.
Tatum was Point God today with 13 Assists and just 2 turnovers

Well Horford had 25 points and Derrick White was making really tough shots so if you are the Warriors you just pat the Celtics on the back for getting hot because there is no way they can keep up that production with both Horford and White.

Yea I wouldn't be worried if I were the Warriors, play the exact same way. If Celtics beat you with a combined 11 3s from Horford and White, you have to live with that. Dare them to do it again.

even then you can't expect for Tatum to be cold forever and will make up for White/Horford, and outside of Curry (especially with no more KD), as long as the Celtics defenders stayed glued to shooters, they can hold down the Warriors quite a bit and force them to play their tempo

at the same time no one outside of Curry & Wiggins really showed up for Golden State especially in the 2nd Half. If Boston's gonna be able to keep guys like Poole and Thompson under 15 PPG the entire series, Celtics have a legit chance to push it to a 7 game series

also too early to tell how the series will end but this quote by Draymond might age horribly in a few weeks

Celtics will win in 6 if the other Klay and Poole dont show up.

Draymond scored 4 points with a 2-12 shooting. This dude needs to stop his media antics.
he's doing a post game show podcast on Colin Cowherd's (disgusting NBA media person second to Stephen A Smith and Skip Bayless) YT channel as we speak 🤣

Don't like the 2 teams playing right now but, in saying that, I have no preference on who wins.

I'll just say that BOS def. do have a shot at beating GSW. They're gonna stop Curry a couple of times and we'll just see if the rest of the team can beat them, which they def. could.

and as much championships as Curry has won (all w/ some sort of asterisk imo), he's always played good but never great in the NBA Finals to the point that he can single handedly will a team to win in the Finals on a singular run (and in the case of yesterday's game couldn't impose his will in the 2nd Half at all).

In 2014-15, he had solid contributions from Iguodala (hence the Finals MVP), and in 2016-17 and 2017-18, he and Klay pretty much got bailed out by KD (which will pretty much allow him to talk shit to Draymond until the Warriors win a rin w/o him) after having several terrible shooting games and still ending up fairly one-sided against the Cavs in a 4 or 5 game series

Some of that may be attributed to the fact that defense conpletely focus on Curry pretty much at all times to not even let him attempt a shot or touch the ball, but for someone like LBJ who I can never root for he's always been pretty much an unstoppable in any given game (outside of the 2011 NBA Finals) even with the opposing team throwing everything possible to slow or neutralize LeBron. Wiggins played admirably well last night but the Warriors are kinda screwed if Boston can figure how to slow down Curry for all 4 quarters (and to not go under screens)

Warrior fans are the only ones who think Celtics have no chance at winning

I was shocked. I expected the Warriors to close this game but instead we collapse, and the Celtics got hot. I predicted warriors in 6, so I expected a loss in game 2. Now the dubs need game 2, and I need them to want it more. Poole need to play better; ur party suck rn. Klay need to be consistent 20 point scorer. Green should stop shooting threes when hes 0-3, work on his free throws. The Celtics are a great team, dnt take them for granted. Play all 48 mins the right way. That being said, Im still confident in my Warriors. :goyea:
