Knicks fans attacking random Sixers fans and ripping their jerseys, ganging up on JR Smith and knocking him over onto the ground, as well as all the cringey ass Sidetalk videos of annoying losers jumping and screaming into a camera trying to get internet clout = shittiest fanbase in NBA history, just barely beating out boston

Notice how nobody in the national media is even bringing up any of the scummy shit Knicks fans are doing...but if it were any other fanbase there'd be nonstop headlines about how awful it is

The league is a better place when the Knicks are in the shitter and without trashy piece of shit Knicks fans

The only one who can beat me is me

Are Philly fans that much better though?

How did you perceive Linsanity hype back then ??
it was cool as a Knicks fan and somewhat a ray of hope as an Asian-American (Jeremy Lin is 6' 3" and Taiwanese-American while Yao Ming is 7' 6" and from China) and seeing them in professional sports league but I noticed a lot of ppl around me only gave a shit about the Knicks because Lin was on the team, such as family and they would root for whatever team he left to. Years later, I had family that would ask me if he still plays for the Knicks since they stopped caring since 2012...

That’s not even the point. The national media makes headlines and stories of everything bad Philly fans do, yet we have multiple instances of Knicks fans being next level garbage and yet not a peep from them and in fact it’s the opposite. Clowns like Stephen A Smith gushing over how good it is that the Knicks are relevant

Literally tonight there was a moment of silence for Nick Nurse’s brother who passed away, and you could hear on the TV broadcast “Let’s go Knicks!” Interrupting it.

Genuinely the most pathetic and vile subhumans in the sport. And yet they never get callled out for it

Is New York more of a NY Knicks City or NY Yankees City ?

Yankee fans can be found in other places outside of NYC (they are the Lakers equivalent in Baseball) but in NYC it is split 60 Yankees / 40 Mets.

New York City (except Staten Island) unilaterally supports the Knicks, no in betweens and or buts. In Long Island, Staten Island, and Upstate NY, it is majority Nets fans sadly in the time I was there (despite the team being from NJ originally in the NBA) but also keep in mind that these areas are starkly different in terms of demographics (mostly White) to NYC (highest diversity split within the US).

Everything NYC fans do get ripped apart by non-NYC media practically every day, you can't be this delusional lol. That last fan does not represent the consensus of Knicks fans that remained silent during that segment.

complete nonsense. Saying "that fan doesn't represent us" is a joke considering it's not an isolated incident at all. Last year Knicks fans were chanting FUCK EMBIID in the sixers arena and went up to the Dr. J statue outside and threw a knicks jersey over its face. The whole FUCK TRAE YOUNG thing is another cringefest to the point where even the mayor of NYC has played into it to gain popularity. D Wade walked out of MSG (not as an opposing player, but as part of the broadcast) and a mob of knicks fans were shouting out of pocket shit about one of his kids.

It's not one or two losers doing it, it's large mobs- same as the one that left JR Smith on the pavement. Same as the mob that was trying to rip the sixers jersey off that one fan.

Find me one example of ESPN, TNT, NBC, ABC or whatever outlet calling out Knicks fans for the clown shit they're pulling. That would require them taking the NY dick in their mouth for a second as they gush over how Timothy Chalamet is sitting courtside, or how the league is supposedly so much better now that the Knicks are relevant as they play "GO NEW YORK" on in the background not even pretending not to be biased. Mike Breen the lead national NBA broadcaster is literally also the Knicks broadcaster. Find me one instance of an interviewer asking Brunson "hey what did you think of the fans acting out" or years ago "hey julius randle, did you see how the knicks fans ripped off your poster from the arena and stepped on it" It never happens. But if it were a random ass city like Denver or New Orleans doing it, the same media would jump all over it

Horrid fanbase that deserves nothing but universal resentment

you do still realize that Reggie Miller still calls NBA games right? Shaq is also another former NBA player that refuses to give the Knicks any flowers. Stephen A Smith masquerades himself as a Knicks fan as part of his employment and $20M+ contract with ESPN. Literally every media outlet if you really take the time to think about and *read* literally shit on the Knicks on any given day (not including Barstool Sports

Mike Breen was with the Knicks first if you didn't know since the 1980s actually as a radio play-by-play until Marv Albert got canned in the late 1990s thanks to his biting incident, and it was only then that he finally got to do the Knicks' local TV broadcast on MSG as a color commentator and later on TNT/NBC. And it was ESPN that chose to offer Mike Breen (over every other local play-by-play commentator in the NBA not named Ian Eagle) a huge bag to cover the NBA Finals in 2006, and which he has remained in since. He didn't get the role because he was a "Knicks" fan lol

also very convenient in your essay that you forgot to mention that a Pacers fan last year stabbed 2 Knicks fans during the ECF unprovoked but go on....
