Who will be the Next Strawhat?

I would not be so sure of you winning, if I were you.

The first harbinger that there is more to our bet than one can now see is, when Shaka will finally take that helmet of his off. And I'm just waiting for that to happen. Because then it will be obvious that he and Lucci are related by blood. And at the latest then the moral dilemma that Lucci is facing will come to surface. Good that he had already teamed up with Luffy, because "Straw hat" will interfere, when he sees that relationship of them and the unfortunate background both are forced to act in. (I think they could be brothers, by the way... . Sounds familiar, right?)

This is probably your most random and baseless theory yet.

This is probably your most random and baseless theory yet.
It actually has a base. Remember, when I posted it once before?:

Both characters have the same body posture:

They are ready to make sacrafices for their goals.

Both are highly intelligent people, who are known to be great strategists by their colleagues and therefore are often times asked for advice.

Their names are mirroring as well: Shake refers to Buddah (In Japanese religion the personification of "Good"), while Lucci can be interpreted as a short form for "Lucifer" (the personification of "Evil").

And lastly: I do not know why Oda would make Shaka wear a helmet unless there is something under it, that he does not want to reveal, yet. And I bet with you that the face underneath resembles one character in One Piece we already know. At this point we only need to put one and one together.

Many characters in one piece are intellegent and willing to make sacrifices for their goals. That's not a connection. Shakka is Buddah because he's the satelite of benevolence, and these aren't even the same religion. Besides, by the same logic you could claim Sengoku is Lucci's brother. Since what his face looks like is anyone's guess, all you have is that they have similar posture, which is nothing. And even if all of this pointed to them being brothers, which it doesn't, Shakka was created by Vegapunk anyway, so we already know that's not the case. This is nothing but confirmation bias. There is absolutely nothing here.

We do not know if Shaka was created by Vegapunk. He could also be just some orphan like Sentomaru, who Vegapunk took in (I rather would have Shaka - and therefore Lucci - to be created by Vegapunk, though.).

I think we are again weigthing these hints differently and from here on we would just argue over subjective views. Let's just wait and see what will happen. You can be right or I can be right - who knows.

Actually we know that the six satellites are created by vegapunk and their personalities combined would make Stella’s personality. It was confirmed by vegapunk himself. Yes you can theorize maybe he is just like sentomaru or a clone like stussy. But there is no basis for that.

You got me wrong here: You need to differentiate between me theorizing about Shaka being an orphan, and me merely letting open the – as you said – baseless possibility that he could be an orphan. But I actually like the idea of Shaka being cloned by Vegapunk, because it could mean that Lucci could be created in such a way as a Satellite, too. It would make things even more interesting.

The reason I am letting the mere and unfound possibility of orphan-Shaka influence what I am writing, is that we do not know how Vegapunk “creates” his Satellites, yet. How could we possibly know if Vegapunk clones them or just plugs someone from the streets and somehow inserts his memories, thoughts or feelings into that person (He can replicate Kuma’s powers after all). So, we cannot rule out this possibility. And as long as this is the case, I will not go around this forum telling everyone that Shaka is a clone. If I would do that, I could also brashly tell everyone that Lucci needs to be a Satellite/clone, too, since I have come to the conclusion that he and Shaka are related.

I am very cautious of what I write and how I write it. And you can trust me that, when I write something in here, which sounds absolute, than this is what I can definitely back up with proof and can 100% stand behind. I did not do so above, as you can see and I treat it as a mere possibility – unfound, but still a possibility - not a theory. ;)

No one is joining. Sooner or later whether it be Elbaf or something else, people will find another toy to play with and Oda will tease because of that.

In all seriousness, no one is joining. Jinbe was the last addition.
I wouldn't be so sure about this. Oda said in 2014 that the next member will join back to back with Jinbe. In your stead I would wait until after Egghead is over, because this "back to back" would be happening now.

I do understand that. But what I see a lot is people coming up with the most outlandish theories without so much as a hint or logic behind it. And then counter with ”it is possible”. Yes everything is possible. Right now to be honest the changes that someone joins are very low. I would say less than 5% and among the ones who have a chance to join the highest goes to stussy. Lucci is an already used character, we have seen his backstory and now he returns and sever es only as a hype tool for Luffy.

Now that’s more like it. :goyea:

Oh I know, that's why I do that:myman:
Love the mental gymnastics of people who thought Yamato or Carrot will join:suresure:

They really thought they cracked Oda's writing logic and they found out a Super Soldier Serum formula:milaugh:
That was me. I had to learn my lesson the hard way. But at least I learned my lesson. Can’t say the same for many other people on here though. :gokulaugh:

Oh, I can relate to that. And I think many other people here are feeling the exact same thing towards you or me. It can be a little frustrating for both sides, I think. :milaugh:

exactly! That’s why I try to come up with theories that have atleast some basis behind them. As I said, when it comes to Nakama joining. The most likely outcome is no one joins. Personal favorite is Stussy right now. I do make statements here that might look like she is a sure thing but that’s mostly because of the wish for her to join and troll some people. The real changes are low and for lucci even lower. And once I win you will have to buy a Yamato fan avi for 3 months
