as for Carrot, Oda didn't hint at Carrot joining at all, that was only fans wishes.

You're misunderstanding my point.

I never thought Gaimon would join the crew, my point is that the first step to joining the crew is Luffy welcoming you to the crew. Nothing can happen without that.

You need three things:

Luffy to invite you
Luffy to see you do something he really likes (this is the Shining Nakama moment)
A dream that ties into Luffy's dream to sail around the world, since finding the One Piece involves sailing all over the place.

Luffy is the deciding factor in all of this.

People act like they're opinions matter more than Luffy's. People think a Shining Nakama moment is something we need to see, when it's something Luffy needs to see. This is an issue with Carrot; Luffy has never really seen her do something significant to help the crew, even though she has.

Carrot has no chance unless she got an invite, so, until we know she got an invite, it's all hopes and dreams. Could she have, and rejected it? Yeah.

But, we have never seen Luffy give Carrot an invite to join the crew, so, it's totally fair for people to assume she has no chance. Wano did little with her character. We got no closure.

I believe Oda is just teasing us, but, people who believe Carrot has no chance have A LOT OF REASON to believe it.

Looking at the way fans are treating this end (and the fact that even non Carrot fans are saying that this is weird).. I feel like this is very unlikely to be just a mistakes.

It COULD be. After all Carrot was almost non existent in Wano and oda could have simply brushed aside her character.. but this doesn't fit with the way he is used to do thing.. the guys is cartezian to the point of obsession with his characters so letting such a mistakes go under the radar is too weird and unlikely for him.

I mean the gues spent two entire page on it.. Meaning at least 1 to 5 hours of work (I don't know how fast he outlines and draws) and not once in the meantimes the though of this being very strange popped up ? BS.

So much depends on if Carrot actually has a role in the activation of Pluton.

When Momo refused to open the borders, and the Gorosei heard Zunesha was leaving, they commented that someone wise had decided not to open the borders yet. So, we know Zunesha reaching Wano is a trigger for the borders of Wano opening.

This ties Carrot directly to Pluton.

If Oda's treating Carrot's character properly, she stayed behind on Zou to rebuild the country and train, will help Law and Bepo possibly since Bepo's near Zou and have its Vivre card, and then will assist in opening Wano's borders.

After this, something will occur to let Carrot join the crew (I think it will be Zunesha dying, sadly).

Carrot and Yamato were left behind for the same thing, Pluton, which is hilarious, because Pluton is one of my favorite plot points in not just One Piece, but in any series, ever, and it caused me so much pain by making Carrot and Yamato stay behind.

I love Pluton because I view Alabasta as a highly advanced criticism on the War in the Middle East, with Alabasta, Cobra, and Pluton referencing Iraq, Saddam, and his non existent nukes. Crocodile spent all this time saying Alabasta had Pluton (nukes) and it was all bullshit. "The Weapons of Mass Destruction are in another Castle, Mario."

Oda literally trolled the entire US intelligence forces for their outright lying bullshit through a pirate manga, fucking hilarious.

I wish Oda would draw a gag panel of Robin telling Crocodile the truth, just to see Croc's face when he realized Pluton was in fucking Kaido's territory, LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Because she is and was built just like a Strawhat, Carrot was not.

& there's another one, when she told the SHs that she is going to join them, Jinbe replied that they can't accept her without taking their captain's permission, but after GB attacked Wano, we saw Yamato telling Luffy that she can't join because Wano is not safe, at first Luffy refused her request, but then she convinced him that it's better for Wano's safety, which means she actually asked Luffy after he had woken up, because she was going to join if GB didn't attack Wano, and according to Jinbe, that would not happen if she didn't ask Luffy.

Neku is a cat, just like Lucci. This is actually foreshadowing for Lucci leading the Supernovas, or Worst Generation, the young generation of pirates coming up, showing how Lucci will join the Straw Hats and become their tactician @Rambles

Jesus fcking Christ, yes your pillars are not objective because only you think they're correct, if everyone else has 2 or 3 pillars it doesn't matter if you already have them, it just means they think dream/role/backstory is a fine parameter but that your other ones are bullsht.
