I disagree strongly about the forshadowing because Yamato was the only real candidate among those you listed, but I agree that Bonney getting the nikyu would basically give use our answer.

This is huge for Bonney. Since she doesn't have a devil fruit, she's 1000% getting the nikyu, which means she'll even fit the devil fruit name system. I'm almost convinced now.

Her dream is literally to reunite with her father. She doesn’t want to liberate the world she just wants to find Nika to tell her father about him. All of this goes back to Kuma.

I am looking at the reality, you’re just pushing her like people pushed Yamato without any substance last arc.

Imagine that. I, someone who does not give a shit about her character at all, can accept that she's being written like she could be a strawhat. I have no salt in this dish. But suuuuuuuuuuuuure I'm the one being overly-bias.

I'm not saying it's definite. What I am saying is she's the most likely candidate right now and that anyone thinking that anyone out there has a better chance as things currently stand is flat out wrong. People are now theorizing that because she received the powers of the Toshi Toshi no Mi through DNA splicing that she may be able to eat another Devil Fruit and the other fruit may not be biologically similar to a consumed fruit, if that makes sense?

That's the result of it, but who cares? She has no trauma from the experiments. She doesn't even remember them. And the experiment worked and has been extremely helpful for her. It adds no emotional weight to anything. All it does is leave the door open for her to eat a devil fruit.

It adds emotional weight in the fact that its because of Bonney, Ginny suffered from the sapphire scale disease. It also means that in the most direct of ways, (like Vegapunk said) Saturns directly responsible for:
1. Ginny’s death
