Vivi is well respected individual while Yamato is a virtual unknown. She also the descending of man ruined Wano for 20+ years. So, There kind difference circumstances there. Plus Yamato already stated that she actually wants to go out to sea why stop her now. Now she is free able choose own path in life why stop her now. Who to says she might give oden’s journal to Momo as form friendship between the two characters. Momo ends giving oden’s sword as form gift for protecting him.

I think yamato will eventually surpass jinbe too along with zoro and sanji if he ends up joining. Them being the eos commander equivalent.
Due to them having higher potential and jinbe less room to grow stronger

Four years ago she was basically limited on what she could possibly do. The reason because of the shackles on her wrist kept her from leaving let’s not forget that. I do think she will be respected by a few people but the entire population of wano. I don’t think they treat as her own individual they will only see as the descendent that ruin their country and possibly want revenge what happens father.
Despite Yamato’s good intentions to help save Momo aid the ally forces they will see not see as her own Individual character. They will see her as descended that ruin their country which does lead little bit of discrimination and distrust with her as a character With wano citizen even people outside wano.
I can give examples similar moments with individual straw hats having good attention that does lead them possible being shun by society and the marine

I agree that Wano population might not hate her, but regardless, her goal is to open the Wano Borders, The Marines will get knowledge about certain things and odds are Yamato will be known throughout the world as Kaidou's Daughter, she will be hated on a Worldly Level.

I will paste my take on Yamato here too. Since she is the top pick now.

She really is a weird character written by oda. Let's see a few facts
1. She is super strong.
2. From her jump cover page she does seem important somehow given her screen time. Of course other than fighter
3. She is Kaido's daughter. Very huge connection to Kaido. Important player overall as Kaido's only child. Same style as Kaido too which is unique.
4. Oda gave her reasons to despair due to Kaido and hope through Oden.
4.1. was caged her whole life and all.
4.2. wants to go out on an adventure like Oden. Pretty much her goal after Wano.
5. A very strong ally to have who would fight Kaido in this arc.
6. Introduced pretty late in the arc and seems to be intended(hopefully)
7. Has Odens log.

1 - 5 pretty much suggests she will fight alongside luffy and others.
But can we just add her as a number against kaido? There is no need to do that. Adding just one won't matter unless that addition is important

So 3 and 4 and the fact that she fought kaido multiple times might be used and we get her leadership/info in how to fight against him, his powers and all.

But 6, pretty much makes her seem like plot device for the above point. Unless she is important afterwards too. And that with 4.2 leads us to yamato as a SH.

7 can just be a way to motivate her but probably to make her know about odens context. It could also act as a hint to missing phoneglyp for SHs. I mean we haven't had a puzzle solving since skypiea arc.

As of now I only have the points I can think of withe given info.

There is also a speculation assuming she is just a plot device to defeat kaido but that ends in her not existing after wano and is kinda not so OP like.

Sanji entire family threw him side worthless normal human accept reiju and his mom. You could say they did offer him gifts saving them. So they basically did return the favor for what he did for them. They’re sacrificing themselves in order for him to to escape the island.

Some people believe that all the nine scabbards could potential all die. Which I don’t think that’s the case. I do believe some of them will though.

Even if all scabbards died (with Oda's track record, I don't think so). Most SHs joined even when they had people to protect.

Sanji: The cooks and Zeff, when another dangerous pirate like Krieg might appear to attack the baratie.

Nami: She should have stayed rebuilding the Kokoyashi village and protecting it from pirates (since the navy had them abandoned).

Chopper: He should have stayed looking after the sick people in town and Kureha, as well as in case Teach or Wapol showed up again.

Franky: He was forced to set sail for the bounty on his head, but he was equally afraid for his family and Iceburg, that the navy would retaliate with them.

Jinbe: He should stay looking after Fishman Island and protecting the royal family, from invaders and marines. Still she faced Big Mom's wrath for betraying her, even though she could destroy Fishman Island.


Another mention would be Brook, who had no need to be SH, could have taken another course to meet Laboon. Also Usopp proved a long time ago that he is a brave warrior of the sea, the only reason why he follows his goal is because of his friendship with Luffy (I think he mentioned it in Dressrosa).

There is no need for Yamato to stay with Momo, since he has the scabbards as bodyguards and in the future all the samurais of the country. In addition Wano is a very difficult country to enter.
