There's a difference in having real arguments and arguing just for semantics sake.
Yamato wanting to be Oden means she wants to live the life that he lived, that of a free man who journeyed and explored the world- an experience that most citizens of Wano don't have. Most likely Yamato wants to do things that Oden did recorded in his journal when he traveled with Roger and Whitebeard. Yamato singles out Oden specifically because Oden had the biggest impact on Yamato before hearing about Luffy from Ace. Oden was the one who rebelled and went against Kaido, he was the man who lit a fire in Yamato's heart that she doesn't have to restrict herself to Wano and serve her father, but that she can be a free person just like Oden was.
When Yamato met Ace,
she asked him what the pirate world was like, she didn't ask Ace how to be Shogun of Wano, how to be Oden Kozuki or how to be Momo's babysitter.
It has nothing to do with being Shogun or staying in Wano and babysitting Momo. Yamato wants Oden's freedom to explore the world, not his job as Shogun of Wano that society told him so which Oden himself didn't want, because being Shogun isn't what makes Oden, well Oden. Therefore, Yamato staying in Wano won't make her more like Oden.
When the story has constantly had Yamato say that she will join Luffy's crew and explore the world, and even Momo saying just last chapter telling Yamato to be free and live out her dream, for what reason and where are we gonna find Oda doing the opposite and have Yamato stay in Wano and babysit Momo?
Oda has no further storytelling purposes for having Yamato stay in Wano, so why would he do it?
Saying that Yamato should stay in Wano to help Momo is like saying that Nami should stay in Arlong's basement and continue to draw sea charts for him. Nami didn't want to draw sea charts for Arlong, Nami wanted to draw a map of the world. Similarly, Yamato wants to be the Oden that was free and explored the world, not the Shogun Oden that Kozuki Oden never was and never became.
And saying that Yamato will or should stay just because Momo told her to leave is just a shitty argument. The important thing that Momo said was him telling Yamato that he wanted her to be free because Yamato was locked away in Wano her whole life and never had freedom.
Since when was One Piece about listening to other people and conforming to society, and not about freedom - specifically the freedom to pursue and live out your own dreams? Sorry, but anybody who says Yamato wants to be Oden because of his job as Shogun of Wano must be a Two Piece reader.
