I also forced myself to finish FE Engage. Three Houses was way more entertaining.

Hopefully, we see a proper Nintendo Direct soon.
Yeah engage does that weird thing where they dumbed down writing because its supposed to be a "entry" level Fire emblem. But it didn't work at all for me at least. Like the world building is more shallow than some of the NES titles and I'm not just talking about the fact that the world is a literal 2d donut

Like yes they are genuine improvements in gameplay and loop in contrast to 3 Houses (like the monastery prep phase taking net so long) but at the end its a S-Rpg and the core is always the same so it doesn't really change that much.

They said they would unveil it before the end of the fiscal year which basically means march of next year, right now they're just riding off those last Switch titles so it makes sense we wouldn't get a regular direct so soon after the last one.

I'm rather interested at Xenoblade news.

Ever since I played Xenoblade 2, I've been a huge fan of the entire Xeno series. This game started as a pure JRPG anime game with the usual anime tropes but even from the trailer, I could tell it is a great game due to the story, gameplay and worldbuilding. When I was near the end of the game, I was flabbergasted at the levels of plottwists. I'm not telling it tho, it's definitely a unique experience. From the same plottwists and searching from YouTube videos, I also learned about Xenoblade 1 and the Xeno series like Xenogears and Xenosaga. The lore dump was intense. Seriously.

Then I bought XBC Definite Edition and at last, Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Both games have less anime elements than Xenoblade 2 btw.

So yes, I seriously cannot wait for information, even when it comes to Xenoblade X remaster or similar projects.

Switch is the best thing which happened to Nintendo lol
Yeah it really is the best thing to happen.

The Wii U was such a failure, but what I find funny is that for some reason, I will sometimes see the Wii U trending on twitter, with the people saying how the Wii U was great and how it was better than the Switch lol.

And I'm just like "where the fuck was all this love for the Wii U before.":goatasure:

There was no love for the Wii U during its era but now with its era gone, suddenly people love the Wii U now.:sanmoji:

I hope they go back to GameCube or classic consoles

Wii was great but very gimmicky and Nintendo keeps doubling down on the gimmick each consecutive generation
Against Sony and its Playstations it was quite a necessity, Nintendo needed to be more original and gimmicky to survive as each time it tried to use power in the Nintendo 64 and Gamecube, in spite of their amazing qualities and games; and they did it quite brilliantly with the Nintendo DS, the Wii and the Switch, and they will continue to do so for a while.

Nah, you can see how Xbox failed with this attempt.

If they developed a classic console, then it means they have to rival PS4 Pro directly. So either this console's hardware would be comparable or not - and with the Wii U, we saw how this console failed miserably since the competition was way more advanced and the Wii U was just comparable to the PS3.

Hence a hybrid console like the Switch was the correct answer. The hardware was quite advanced as a hybrid console back then but they didn't directly have to rival the more classic consoles.

Even when they had better classic consoles than Sony's it failed, because Sony had a more mature image and had far more money for marketing and to enhance its game library with game editors, hence why they decided to avoid direct confrontation with Sony consoles with far better results.
