I never denied that, Zoro had to be looking out after deadweight and countering Aoe attacks. He also wasn't complimenting sccabards like SN. This while saving Luffy from an extra Youkou. Not looking good

Oda is the master of showing us what mostly inconsecuential chatacters are doing after their arcs.
Orochi could be alive just to get a cover story later for all we know, but the point is that Oda keeps just showing his head to try and be like "yeah he's totally dead", which is why a lot of people aren't buying it. There doesn't need to be a big reason for us to believe this, Oda could just bring him back so Kinemon can defeat him again or something lol.

Dodge or not, Zoro had 0 fucking contribution last chapter. And Kaido gave enough fuck about Luffy's attack to bleed out. Also, Kaido being able to dodge Zoro's attack is a bad speed feat for the latter. He's literally in his dragon form which is slow af. He could only speed-blitz Luffy in his base form.
