Yeah, yeah. I'm not even going to speak on the chapter in general basically, this writing feels empty having Sanji being treated on the levels of Brook and Franky. Seems there's some amnesia going on here right now.

I'm going to be put off by all this stuff until they start giving Sanji his proper due. Type of crap. Its not horrible writing but just horrible writing of Sanji. On top of that this isn't Sanji bias. Because I'm a Sanji fan and could care less about Usopp and Nami. Yet I feel like at this stage in the series they should have been given devil fruits, one or both of them. So what if Nami likes swimming. She's not in the Paradise part of Grand Line, do you see how easily Big Mom grabbed Marco like that and Marco was thought to be one of the ones strong enough to take down Blackbeard. Yet these people have Nami out here getting taken out by someone like Brulee and really act as if this can be a Pirate King crew. Swimming isn't more important than surviving and Oda spoke on them having to sacrifice for the better of the crew. Just like Sanji with the raid suit sacrificed his pride. Besides they have Jinbe, Zoro, Sanji and Franky who can swim. So Nami still swimming is not all that important. Could you imagine the logic behind, we have all these pirates that are super stronger than Nami trying to kill and capture the crew and Nami is one of the weakest but we won't enhance her because she likes swimming? I mean Franky was already a Cyborg and is physically strong. But Nami is just a plain human in the story. And while that's endearing to have a plain human woman survive the new world, just like a plain human guy in Usopp it is really something he could enhance. But now I know Sanji isn't the second strongest in the crew but that is so crap to just have him held hostage. While they are facing Kaido. They got him in no man's land. As if Sanji did something evil and Oda is writing his character in spite. Tired of this crap. Sanji shouldn't be up there. I'm not saying he should be delivering the killing blow but they should have him up there. He may not be ranked as a supernova over some bounty technicality and because Oda wanted to keep him secret for the Germa plot but still he's just as qualified. And its rumored his goal may be tied to the destruction of the red line anyway (although its just theory). So technically his goal may turn out to be the one that directly opposes the Celestial Dragons. Plus its not fair that they just had a whole plot where the plan was to kidnap him, force him into a wedding, make him relive his past trauma, be forced to beg for the livelihood of his captain as well as crew and mentor, harm his Captain, just to then have him and his family assassinated by Big Mom. Although Sanji was the first member of the crew besides Luffy (Jinbe was already in that world before joining) to get to be face to face with a Yonko. And on top of that, people say that Zoro is going to rage at Sanji for what he did to Luffy. At the same time he fought Luffy under much less reasonable circumstances. Then you have the part where I'm mentioning how its wrong that Sanji is getting this C-List Usopp treatment. This isn't a Sanji is better than Zoro thing but its the fact that they're quite similar characters with Zoro having the edge of course. Zoro was willing to sacrifice himself with Kuma right? Who is the only other Strawhat besides Zoro to still be standing in that situation. On top of that, he was already hugely wounded from Absalom. Zoro really took no damage from Ryuuma to be fair. But just like Zoro sacrificed himself for Luffy and his crew without their knowledge, so too did Sanji. He sacrificed himself to a Yonko to save them. And they already had him going toe to toe with Big Mom together with Luffy. And truthfully they did not do that with the rest of the crew. The other crew had Jinbe and the weaker members vs Big Mom or the whole crew running. Its apparently shows that both Zoro and Sanji can play the "Killer" to Luffy's "Kidd." Meaning they both can take on the role Killer has in Kidd's crew. Just that Sanji rarely has to. The only difference is that Sanji rarely gets the credit. But at this point in the story, there is no way Oda should still be keeping Sanji in the shadows. Its nice that they touched on the Assassin family thing like Killua but that should mean that Sanji is a prodigy in a sense just like in Hunter x Hunter. Or could've been lol. But anyway he can be an assassin and still be a very known pirate. The other thing is with this supernova stuff. Techinically, Sanji would be the number two on every other Supernova crew. If he was a member of Law's crew he'd be up there. But anyway, Sanji is stronger than all the number's 2 on other crews. And if he was on another crew and not the Strawhats or Kidd Pirates then he'd be in the supernova and considered as strong as both Killer and Zoro. And that's not speculation. It seems obvious to me. So I mean, Sanji is the exception to all these pirate crews where Sanji legitimately can be his own captain and the number two of a crew as well as Zoro. Of course Zoro is the stronger of the two but Sanji is right up there this whole idea of not having him out there is a bit weak. Plus they have him with the Raid Suit that Big Mom so coveted, so you know know there are just a myriad of reasons that Sanji should be up there. And the SMILE being poisoned food basically. Oda would be dropping the ball to keep him out the big Kaido, Big Mom fight regardless of what he has planned for Sanji later in the story. You just don't do that to the One Piece monster trio that has been shown to be a thing since forever. It is his story to write, but still this hurts. Its not even about, the writer is losing his touch or anything. Its just like he seems to be forgetting Sanji is Sanji. Though I don't know how he's written up the story beyond the latest chapter. Even so all that "Sanji will never be as cool as he was in Whole Cake Island" stuff is wack. I don't know what his definition of that would be. But of course in Whole Cake Island he went up against Daifuku, Oven, and Big Mom and dodged Katakuri. Does it mean that he won't ever fight any strong characters again? Because he just took a Page One and shortly clashed with King albeit with Momonosuke in his hand. Anyway, if by chance Oda is stuck with Sanji as a character then all he has to do is look at how he's portrayed Sanji early on in One Piece in terms of demeanor.

This is early One Piece. Even while the Supernova stuff was running. And I'm actually a fan of Hawkins as he ranks up there in my favorite characters.

Your post seems interesting but you should skip lines because such long paragraphs hurt the eyes and nobody will read them.

Luffy was new to the New World and was able to defeat Cracker. And Killer and Kidd have been swimming there for 2 years already. And yes, reread Jimbei's words about Katakuri's reward and Perospero's about his reward when Pedro died. Veteran awards show their strength.Good luck
I'm gonna be pointing this out again for the x time. The difference in strength is not heaven and earth, matchups and techniques are going to matter.

I love a King vs Zoro, i really do. But with Kaidou's hybrid on the horizon, the Supernovas are about to get clapped on the next chapters, i see no possible reason why Zoro should return to fight King when his captain is getting clapped. Yes he might get thrown down, and King might or might not interfere, but Zoro is not gonna 100% focused on the fight, when his captain and 3 other supernova fellows are being wrecked by 2 Yonkous. He will focus on "making it back to the roof", one way or another.
And also the whole "opening Kaidou's scar" stuff. If he opened the scar in the next chapter or at least before the end of act 3, I will reconsider the possibility of Zoro vs King. But if he doesn't, there's no way he's going from getting clapped by Kaidou's hybrid, to fight King in an extreme diff fight, and then go to the top again and open the scar. I love Zoro but it's just too much.
Yo seriously, thank you for being literally one of the few people on this site who can respond to my comments about Zoro vs. King without just maniacally denying it and thinking about it critically. I actually appreciate WHY you think it may not happen because you give me a good explanation while also acknowledging anything can virtually happen.

That said, I agree with what you are saying, but what I was more aiming for was the setting entirely changing. The rooftop fight ends soon, Zoro gets pushed to an extreme diff fight with King due to being 1) Injured and exhausted, 2) Forced to learn how to unlock Enma's full potential with another swordsman and finally 3) Potentially tying in to his heritage in Wano/Ringo (this one is just a guess with King possibly being the one who massacred the Shimotsuki clan). Only after the setting Changes (Mt Fuji for some reason? idk) and maybe when Luffy temporarily defeats an injured Kaido, Zoro comes back in an pulls a Ryuuma.

I'd actually die lol. But again, just a fun hypothetical. I don't mean anything by it tbh.

Sanji has the same moment with kaku on the train guy . Sanji is not beating king . Let’s bet our accounts on it

Let say the raid don't fail but let make a different scenario, what if we get a full large war in wano.

Let say next week Kaido stomp the SN and Onigashima really end with landing at flower capital>Disaster.

Act3 end and when act4 start we learn that the alliance falling back and assemble new formation. 1-2 days pass and the war still continue. Kaido lead flower capital and already began to make his plans. He send out Jack army to Kuri,King to Ringo and Queen to Udon. And the new goal of the alliance is to get to Kaido and beating all calamity.

Like a real war it can take days/months or years so why it should all ending now?

It would be dope if sanji gets another little garden moment where he acts like he is CP0. That phone call can set up the next arc just like alabasta.

For example. Imagine sanji answers and it’s a marine who is calling to ask CP0 if they should proceed with the buster call. Then we can see that Kizaru and and a huge ass fleet with tons of vice admirals and admiral candidates outside of wano.

Sanji can have a big moment where he tricks them into not going through with the buster call or something like that

Right now, we need more a "Hunter" moment than a "Mister Prince" moment.

And dont get me wrong. If by some chance Brook takes over Jinbe's fight with WsW, that allows Jinbe, Sanji and Yamato to fight King, Queen and Jack (in whatever order, not insinuating anything), which then still allows for:

- Zoro and Luffy to fight the Yonko
- The Calamities and F6 to be meaningfully taken out by Strawhats
- Gives everyone an immensely high diff fight without virtually anyone suffering in the fanbase.

Idk, we'll see if that happens first lol. If he's teaming up with Robin against Black Maria, then it still leaves the potential gap with King there.

Well Luffy is the MC and they arent
Luffy is lucky that all

rather than strength it shows how dangerous they are

He talking about cutting though.
"For Kaido who doesn't know anything about Ryou, he refers Ryou to Oden's haki. That's when Scabbard and Zoro used on him, he calls/sees that at Oden's haki. Also why he didn't understand how Luffy hurt him with Red Roc at first.
No there is no haki of Oden here"

If he talks about cutting, yeah it does make sense but the statement above doesn't mention about cutting tho
