Chopper says that Zoro is going to receive "many times over" the damage he had sustained before from Hakai. He can scarcely imagine what state Zoro would be in afterwards, as he was already completely paralysed even before the Mink medicine. He then pleads for Zoro not to die on them.

I think what is happening is that Zoro's body is confronting certain death, and Oda chose to make this allegory explicit by having Zoro come face to face with Death itself.

I think a route that Oda can take with this confrontation is: "Zoro will conquer Death itself to become the true King of the Underworld". Here's an example narrative scenario:

The Grim Reaper's scythe will "reap" Zoro and send him to the Underworld.

There he will fight against the Lord of the Underworld (Enma). He will triumph and become the true King of the Underworld.

Zoro will then return to the land of the living, triumphant and invincible.

By triumphing over the Lord of the Underworld (Enma), he may also have forged Enma into a Black Blade as a result.

And/or by conquering Death, Zoro's body may be fully restored to peak condition.

Zoro's battle with in the Underworld may be physical (as in Zoro's body actually disappears), spiritual (Zoro's soul leaves his body) or purely mental (Zoro hallucinates all of this). (Perhaps as Zoro's soul/mind battles in the Underworld, Zoro's body feels the full effects of the double pain and damage he took).

Regardless of the form it takes, the battle will signal Zoro's struggle with and triumph over Death and harken back to the declaration Zoro made all the way back in Arlong Park:

The Zoro who has triumphed over Death would be significantly stronger than he is now.
You're reminding me of an old theory during Wano's beginning about Zoro dying a certain chapter.

Her 1 vs 1 was against Kaido.

There's no in-character reason for Brook to pull a gag on a near dead Zoro in the middle of the war.

Especially not when he has to abandon Robin to do so, and Robin is being hunted down by the CP 0. Alternatively, how does Brook connect to Zoro battling the side effects of the Mink medicine?

Or as this guy said:
What do you expect to come out of Zoro's confrontation with the Shinigami?

Come on Cinera. Brook trolling around is way more plausible than your story about going in the underworld, fighting death himself, become king of the underworld, awake his bankai, travel to catch the dragonball and revive himself.
You just wrote a completely different type of manga. If Oda would pull up this kind of stuff, it would get way out of his world building.

For me, the most plausible way is Zoro is hallucinating, hears Killer/Kamazuos Voice, remembers that Scythe and hallucinate the grim reaper, while it is Killer reaching him his hand to help him up. But sure, on his hands are his Punishers, which trigger the hallucination.

Nope.

I knew what you meant by the giant sword, but not the Railgun.

Supposing it's really Killer like you said, where will they go from there?

chapter sounds good on the summaries, until you see the panels.
man, this shit is mid.
the grim reaper doesn't even look that intimidating, it's only dangerous because zoro can't move.
the armory looks comically simplistic and empty af, extremely disappointing.
kid and law deserve better panelling, we can't even see the fucking bull.
law said the same thing about his awakening, and nothing about how he could make his sword that large.

just have a look what our man has taken on attack since the beginning of the raid, without any food rest, without magic mink medicine, without super human exoskelet… he is tanking more than any of them and still don’t need asspull plot armor. Our Captain literally is the armor himself!
Ultimate Tank Kid.

And still, he is up there, Thrilled and motivated.

I am still very convinced kid will reach another level soon before taking down Linlin. Since it was not mentioned what he has done in WCI. The story still needs to be wrapped up. And it will happen in the final phase.
Empty words, just like the "I'm going to defeat Kaido, watch me" before the raid started 🤣

Zoro will try to attack, with his last possible strength, but Killer stops him, holds him, Franky appears and is worried, but recognize Killer. Franky than is able to calm Zoro down, drag him out of his hallucination. Maybe Zoro keeps up his hallucination, but doesnt recognize Killer/Grim Reaper as enemy, since Franky says he isnt. Then Killer take care of Zoro, when Franky, with his tanks and more machines, promise to save the other Kid pirates out of the collapsing castle.

Some bro moments between Zoro and Killer would be great.

Kaido is gonna get killed

In one traditional tale, a man who is fed up with his life prepares to commit suicide. Before he could do so, however, he is visited by a Shinigami, who tells him that his time has not yet come. The Shinigami also explains that each life is measured on a candle, and once the flame burns out, the person dies. This shows that the Shinigami have no control over who lives and dies. To stop the man from committing suicide, the Shinigami tells him an easy way to make money.

The man is told that he could pretend to be a doctor who could cure any form of disease. By speaking some magic words, a Shinigami can be forced back into the Underworld, thus lengthening a person’s life. The man is also informed that this would only work if the Shinigami is sitting at the foot of the bed. If the Shinigami is sitting at the head of the bed, however, it means that the sick person must die. Using this new found knowledge, the man grew very rich.
Zoro is most likely on the brink, I won't deny that cause everything that has happened. So this is most likely a Shinigami for the "King of Hell". He will 100% force this entity away by either making a deal with it or with his Conquerors spirit 🤔. As the chapter has also shown us, the Shinigami is in front of Zoro and not by his head, if it was it would confirm that he is in fact dying.
And just as the folklore states you can make deals with the Shingami and what does Zoro want? He wants Kaido's head. The unkillable Kaido as a price for the Shinigami in exchange for Zoro's life makes 100% sense. Plus he's already gotten the power to actually kill Kaido..."the power to slay a dragon with a single swing". His last swing missed on the Rooftop plus I doubt he would have killed Kaido with it but with AdCoC on 3 swords? Yeah he is killing Kaido

ZKK HYPE BABY!

You do realize that Zoro took the mink's medicine, and not some LSD right?
