Until this very chapter, some Luffy fans and non-Luffy fans believed that Luffy would beat all 4 so they down bad because of that.
Now, seeing that Big Mom has been stolen from him, my prophecy might come true - Luffy will beat only 1 Yonko, Blackbeard.

Watching Kramer vs Kramer saved my life when I participated in the bet because I learned about the Rule of 3 with those breakfast scenes. When I applied that logic to Kid and Law's fight I knew the best bet was to vote for Kid.

Lol. There is no correlation between his claims to BM vs Shanks.

Shanks is 100x more important to the plot and Luffy than Linlin. It's not a double standard when Luffy meeting Shanks has been entirely hyped up beyond this point and for 1000 chapters. BM became irrelevant the moment Luffy embarrassed the fuck out of her after WCI. Her son was more important

Something that I think maybe rationalizes Big Mom doing that is that she couldn't really move due to Law's attack. It's why Kid was able to hit his other 2 attacks so effectively. I think she could've been bluffing to try to show how tough she is.

I am not talking bout how strong the force of the attack will be and its effect. I am talking about the "beam" itself and how it is drawn.

Should have made it seem more vicious. Make more lines to show the strength and speed of the attack.

I really enjoyed this chapter, but I am not that good at analyzing fights. Therefore I don't have a lot to say about this chapter. I liked seeing Big Mom use her devil fruit to heal her bones and her giant sword was cool. But Kidd and Law's attacks were crazy!

Luffy beating shanks was not making sense pre TS.


But since ts, few things have added weight to Luffy vs Shanks.


Like shanks at Mariejoa, WG disbanding Warlords making room for Mihawk to ally with Shanks.

It's not clear will this fight take place but it's not completely out of picture as Oda has kept all the mystery regarding shanks to himself thus giving him leaway to change Shanks relevance to the plot the way he deem fits.
