As a teenager, Rayleigh throws him into a jungle and he tries to survive.

@Gol D. Roger luffy being a zoan doesn't make logical sense but oda can easily use the lame excuse that luffy wasn't using it correctly

It's myth Zoan, Oda can always make a lore to explain it being unable to awaken and Luffy being the only one figuring it out imo

Tbh it's interesting how Luffy need to train under Rayleigh, learn Future Sight, Barrier CoA, Internal CoA, CoC Coating, Awaken his DF & unlock Gear 5 to finally be a Legit Threat to Kaidou. While Zoro only with Mihawk's Training made Kaidou & Big Mom afraid of his Full Charged Attack
