Kaido is clearly more ambitious in the grand scheme. Big Mom spent her life producing children, since she could not build a powerful crew based on people who follow and trust her due to her sheer strength.

Kaido is clearly the most ambitious of the Emperors of ALL of them.
And as you explained initially the reasons why Kaido chose Wano is because she’s special.
The kaidou’s feat of dominating the country of the samurai is undoubtedly the greatest, no matter the methods, and was bold enough to risk a total war, even in fewer numbers at the time against the entire country.

He is no different than BM. BM had plans same as him in fact she was ahead since she was even looking for Robin alternatives and tech too. But both were useless like WB...since we see no impact of them actually finding one piece...in fact, I see no one doing that even SHs are just getting things in their favor due to the plot not that they are actively planning for it.
Both Kaido and BM....we are just told they are also aiming for One piece and stuff but in actuality we see no impact from them too.
Honestly Can't think anyone other than Crocodile(who was actively looking for pluton) to be series about finding stuff

Imo, if that were the case, he really should have given 5-8 chapters on handling her crew. Yamato could have easily handled Smoothie, while Brook/Usopp got legitimate fights against a few others (Daifuku/Mont d'Or). Snack/Compote potentially being handled by Sulong Bepo and Monster Chopper would have been great.

After this, THEN you move on to Kaido vs Yamato and the Jack/Pero's endings.


All of this could have been set up between 1011-1015, while BM was being set up to fight Kid/Law, then handled in between the F6 fights we got. Everything after 1022 could have been pushed back like 10 chapters and it would have at least made their stuff feel more complete.

You know, I'm not convinced at all, nor would i even want it, but making her thr Elbaf antagonist (somehow) would probably be great for her character, even if everyone would hate it.

Like i still feel like she was always hiding some broken shit behind her powers, but Oda didn't really want to explore it. Anyway, i doubt this at this point, because the rest of her crew is practically fodder , so more likely they all become allies or some shit during that arc or the EoS.

I think they are going to become allies because the BMP were never going to be given a chance to shine and show their true power against the Straw Hats and their allies anyway, with Wano being ever worse than WCI when it comes to handicaping them.

This is half the reason why I expect her to come back at least, even as an ally in Elbaf. This still has yet to actually be addressed

I mean Smoothie can still be a decent matchup for Jinbe + another SH, Nami/Usopp/Brook haven't really proven themselves on Onigashima and Daifuku gives non-M3 fight material IMO, we haven't even seen Snack's powers, Compote is a total mystery, ... the list goes on

Dunno but to me there's still enough of the BMPs that we haven't really seen to make for a decent antagonist group on Elbaf

Also, I am certain now that ZKK happens after Kaido's awakening that will eliminate any free will or intelligence (just like the ID guards), so it will be a mercy kill for the heroes to maintain a moral high ground.

Losing his mind due to his Awakening doesn't sound like a particularly compelling fate for the final villain to me. I also wouldn't extrapolate from random Impel Down guards to one of the 4 Emperors.
