We'll see

Considering how fast Oda decided to rush these final chapters of Wano out of nowhere

i think the man wants this shit done lol

and he also said

"want the final arc done as fast as possible"

which is worrisome
He doesn't say that. He says he wants to restructure it to finish as fast as possible because this without a doubt, this can take him another 10+ years if he's not careful.

Wano also really isn't being as rushed as you think. With the same pacing we got with CP9 for example, Garp showed up around the same time Ryokugyu did. There's no guarantee they are leaving the island next chapter, just that the final Saga starts in 1054.

The only thing I'll say is this: every major shonen usually has its longest arc last. Naruto and Bleach both had this, even though Bleach had to rush its ending. We aren't even at the actual last arc, just the last series of arcs.

I am not trying to defend his editors, but if Oda genuinely believes that what he just wrote is good, that says a lot more about him than it does about his editors.
Yes, but it's also his editors always coming out hyping up stuff, telling how much they had to cry etc. and then it turns out that the chapters they talked about are nothing special at all.

Well, Oda is more precious to Shueisha than his editors are. A word from Oda and those editors are reassigned to the South Pole. This is still more on Oda than anybody else.

The worst part about this chapter to me is that no one gives a shit about Ashura or Izo dying.

Oda is literally more interested in giving us trap fan service than consistent character writing.

No way Kiku would just chill in a sauna and let Marco dig his brother’s grave lol.
That's the most bizarre part of the whole thing: Complete lack of emotions.

Kiku gives a shit about her beloved brother - which she just met again after so long - dying. Instead she's all grinning and smiling in the bathtub.

Luffy and Zoro (and the rest of the alliance) don't give a damn about Ashura or Izou dying either, they just fool around as per usual.

Aren't the editors switched every few years? Wouldn't it be a good timing to switch it again for the final saga? Does anyone has any info on that?

You even think zoro is main protagonist he beat kaido and kill him with enma and he is the hero of wano with title of sword god 2.0
Whats wrong with Zoro being hero of Wano for once, though? Constant d riding Luffy and making him repeat same things again will make people weary of him. Dressrosa was perfect because we saw lots of Law moments even though Luffy defeated Doffy, doffy, law and corazon back stories, Law’s character conclusion and got to know why is the way he is like that. Luffy and Law dynamic and emotional response from Luffy when Law was hurt.

Yeah its much better than Wano. It had actual stakes and tension. Some truly epic battles and shocking moments and epic reveals. Kubo had planned for it to go for 10 years IRL which is INSANE!
Agreed! Remember during the first invasion how utterly hopeless Soul society was and them how Yhwach finished off Yama with Haschwalth one shotting Ichigo's Bankai?
That's how you truly set a stake and give the reader an Oh shit moment.

Haschwalth vs Ishida was something that definitely needed more of, it was such an interesting setup and the abilities at play too. I actually really wanted Hashbrown vs Ukitake but alas...lol
You could clearly see how Kubo intended for Uryu to completely change Haschwalths personality, it was supposed to be a very long fight in which we would've gotten inside on the almighty as well.

Unohana vs As Nodt would have been a sick fight too imo if it could have happened but I still loved what we got with Byakuya vs them.
Äs nodt was amazing, so damn creepy. I wonder how the anime will deliver this. I know I'm already going to love Bazz lol

Hopefully we actually get to see Shinjis and Hisagis bankais included too. I cannot wait to see Hitsugaya, Renji and Kenpachi pop off fucking massively in this arc too.
Fingers crossed.

Ichibei's powers were unreal man. It's fitting that only the almighty can overpower it as it should. I definitely want to see Ichigo's Bankai though.

Also, i hope they scrap the thunder cat mode for Yoruichi. One of my most hated things in that arc. I really dislike that lol

Oda has to be joking when he said Joyboy rivals Ryuma considering how much more powerful Zoro is compared to Luffy...
Like how does he plan that in his head? Will he dumb down Zoro's damage to papercuts so that Joyboy can survive or what?
Does any of the Rupeebros have a bright idea of how that power scaling would work? :kriwhat:
"The author is crrrrraaaaazy for disagreeing with my headcanon"

It's okay old man, I'll walk you to the door:hapnoel:

So I checked it myself. Here are the last switches of editors:

So it seems to happen about every 2-3 years. In other words now would be the perfect timing to do it again after the desaster this arc was.
