Kidd isn't part of the people he's protecting though, he seemed to be willing to give him an out until he tried to pull the railgun BS. Shanks was acting on self defense and he mopped the floor with him, it totally makes sense

Kidd and Law were created on a whim by Oda. He thought adding them would spice things up, thats it. They are not as important as you clowns believe.

Law got popular so Oda cant get rid of him. Thats why he gave Law a bs ambition which doesnt conflict with Luffy's dream. Kidd just has to go rather than eating more panels than he already did.

If oda didn't care about kid and law they wouldn't be relevant post timeskip or even in onigashima

FS is just the next step of Zoro's evolution. Apparently you can fight a FS user without having it.

1. Future sight an ability only himself, luffy, shanks, and kaido are confirmed to have
2. Sone next level armament
3. Conquerors haki
4. Special paramecia that works like a logia
5. Has a weapon
6. Even a good markman
7. Awakening
8. Etc.

Katakuri doesn't just have an amazing fruit but amazing haki on top of that

Lord of the Coast was the world's strongest creature 12 years ago, it caught Roger's disease and became too weak by the time Luffy set sail.

Ill actually throw this question to the crowd any Blackbeard vs Shanks believer:

Do you believe that Oda, king of short battles (outside of Luffy) and offscreens, can justify that Blackbeard and his 10 commanders will defeat Shanks and all of his 9 commanders (+ Rockstar) in a way that makes viable sense where:

A) He shows just enough for each BB member but not enough to spoil their fight with the Strawhats

B) Each fight is remotely given enough screentime?

This is reason #1 out of like 10 that fundamentally makes zero sense to me in the context of the story. Im not saying they cant have beef. Im not saying they cant skirmish. But ill never understand how the above (and many other things) can be justified when Luffy and Shanks' relationship is literally what drives the story.

Kid and Law losing make sense. Its something Oda can do cleanly in a few chapters because they are 1 ship crews with only 1-2 notable members. Plus, they have been shown off already, so their defeats are justified in the context of not becoming PK.

Please, im just looking for actual sound logic of Shanks being a hypetool for Blackbeard that doesnt sound batshit.

It’s the RHPs first and only battle, they’ll surely get screentime

yeah this chater seems to fall in line with what you would expect out of shanks ethically/morally

kidd is the aggressor here
and hes acting to protect weaker people.

the reason he came to wano is also clearly stated.

These things have always been known.

- He saved Luffy.
- He warned WB for Ace and Blackbeard
- He saved Koby
- He stopped a war
- He buries the dead

He is 100% a respectable pirate. That still does not answer his reasoning with Gorosei (which people seem to miraculously ignore or forget or act like its not a big deal), his lineage, and his clearly hidden motives.

Shanks IS the peace and order to Blackbeards war and chaos. That does not mean he can and will not be a foil to Luffy.

I do think blackbeard getting a third devil fruit is definitely a big possibility tho nonetheless.

1. Darkness fruit represents xebec
2. Quake fruit represents newgate
3. Possible 3rf fruit is unique to him

As for shanks its even harder to guess because their haki is even more mysterious but

1. A specific form of haki ability/skill xebec specialized in
2. A specific form of haki ability/skill roger specialized in
3. A specific form of haki ability/skill shanks himself specializes in

Rocks D. Shanks would explain a lot of the weight behind Shanks actions, every calculated move, his presence, Adv CoC, Sengoku/Gorosei, etc

I really like this especially the connection with Luffy makes this more interesting.

Shanks Rivalry with Mihawk was more or less steel sharpening steel ( them surpassing each other and dueling) but with BB, Shanks hates that MF lmao.

Shanks rivalry with blackbeard is definitely more important than his old one with mihawk

1. Both have aspirations to find the one piece
2. Both successors to roger and whitebeard respectively
3. Both were apprentices on their ship
4. Shanks was given Rogers hat blackbeard took a similar epithet to whitebeard (both also named after the real life blackbeard)
5. Low key both might be successors to xebec
6. Both became emperors 1 year apart in age
7. Shanks gives blackbeard takes
8. Shanks focuses mainly on mastering his haki blackbeard focuses on mainly taking powerful devil fruits
9. Both are currently luffy's biggest competion for pirate king

Also, what's very interesting to note, is that Shanks "allies" aren't really that strong. He just let's them fly his banner, so they are left alone.

Looks like his main crew is truly the bulk of his strength. We were saying he had his full force going into this battle, and it turns out, those guys don't amount to anything.
