The PK title being a stepping stone doesn't mean that the crews dreams will go past that. Mihawk already said that becoming PK is tougher than taking him down. When the crew all have reached their dreams they'll then together pull the never before done feat of taking the WG down.

Shanks only decided to search One Piece after seeing Nika awakening.

Its possible Shanks is simply lying to his crew about this, trick them to search One Piece but use them for Luffy's sake or whatever plan he has.

Shanks knows more than a lot of characters, his knowledge may surpass Doffy's knowledge about Mariejois secrets.

The way Gorosei refer to him is weird.

Him being Xebec or former Gorosei's/CD son is a huge possibility.
