Imo, while White Star Gun probably is a good example for Kizaru, I feel like this chapters attack will be the defining one since Luffy is up and fighting (and not on fumes).

And if he were a secondary antagonist like Blueno, Satori or Cracker, then Kizaru should have lost already, not resumed the same fight that had started prior.

assuming he doesnt push shanks to a high/ extreme diff the way he has fought here is head-canon
we have seen gear 5 up against an even stronger pirate than shanks (confirmed by kidd and killer) and it also was a handful to deal with. this attack was a weaker version of what hit kizaru earlier .
